【摘要】：晚清時(shí)期,期刊雜志極大地促進(jìn)了西方科學(xué)及思想文化在華傳播�！秮�?wèn)|雜志》是晚清時(shí)期的英文雜志,內(nèi)容涉及了晚清政治、歷史、文化、教育等多方面。雜志中的文章多為晚清來(lái)華傳教士根據(jù)當(dāng)時(shí)中國(guó)社會(huì)現(xiàn)狀所作,具有較高的歷史參考價(jià)值。本次翻譯實(shí)踐采用的原文是來(lái)自《亞?wèn)|雜志》(教育�？�)中的兩篇文章,主要描述了在來(lái)華傳教士及西學(xué)影響下的晚清教育狀況。本翻譯報(bào)告重點(diǎn)討論了翻譯此類具有歷史性特點(diǎn)的文本時(shí)遇到的困難及解決的辦法。遇到的困難主要有以下三個(gè)方面:一、對(duì)晚清歷史缺乏了解;二、專業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)翻譯困難;三、原文長(zhǎng)句多且邏輯結(jié)構(gòu)復(fù)雜,譯文準(zhǔn)確性及流暢度不易保證。針對(duì)這些問(wèn)題,譯者采用了如下解決辦法:一、多方參閱關(guān)于晚清歷史、教育方面的書籍,積累背景知識(shí),掌握語(yǔ)言風(fēng)格;二、運(yùn)用圖書、網(wǎng)絡(luò)資源,并結(jié)合翻譯理論知識(shí),確定術(shù)語(yǔ)譯法;三、通讀譯文,根據(jù)漢語(yǔ)表達(dá)習(xí)慣調(diào)整語(yǔ)序及表達(dá)方式,完善譯文。
[Abstract]:During the late Qing Dynasty, periodical magazines greatly promoted the spread of western science and ideology and culture in China. Yadong Magazine was an English magazine of the late Qing Dynasty, which covered politics, history, culture and education in the late Qing Dynasty. Most of the articles in the magazine were made by missionaries in the late Qing Dynasty according to the current situation of Chinese society at that time, which has higher historical reference value. The original text of this translation is from two articles in Yadong Journal of Education, which mainly describes the educational situation of the late Qing Dynasty under the influence of missionaries and western studies. This translation report focuses on the difficulties encountered and solutions to the translation of such historic texts. The difficulties encountered include the following three aspects: first, lack of understanding of the history of the late Qing Dynasty; second, difficulty in translating technical terms; third, long sentences and complicated logical structure of the original text, and difficult to guarantee the accuracy and fluency of the translation. To solve these problems, the translator adopts the following solutions: first, reading books on the history and education of the late Qing Dynasty, accumulating background knowledge, mastering language style; second, using books, network resources and translation theory knowledge. Third, read through the translation, adjust the word order and expression mode according to the Chinese expression habit, perfect the translation.
