【摘要】：本文是一篇中譯英翻譯實踐報告。該翻譯材料的原文節(jié)選自國家中醫(yī)藥管理局指導發(fā)行的紀錄片《本草中國》的前兩集。該記錄片以“本草”為切入點,以溫暖真實的視覺角度揭秘和記錄隱遁的中醫(yī)藥草故事,深度解密中醫(yī)藥文化的奧妙精髓。作者在實踐翻譯過程中深刻感受到中國醫(yī)藥文化的博大精深,并希望能借助此文本對推動中國優(yōu)秀文化的對外傳播略盡綿薄之力。在本項目中,筆者以彼得·紐馬克的“交際翻譯”的翻譯方法為理論支撐,從詞匯與句法方面入手,旨在根據(jù)本選材料的特點,恰當選擇翻譯方法和技巧,希望在盡可能忠實傳達原文內(nèi)容的同時將原文的語言風格和形式保留下來,使外國讀者更加清晰、準確地了解中國中醫(yī)藥文化。并且,針對源文本中具有較多中國文化色彩及涉及醫(yī)藥相關方面知識的特點,作者對文中出現(xiàn)的文化負載詞進行分析與探尋,通過舉例的方式論述了在翻譯中的具體處理方法,比如將拼音加注釋、直譯、意譯等翻譯方法應用在實際翻譯中。在本實踐活動中,筆者對涉及中國中醫(yī)藥文化的紀錄片文本進行了翻譯并就相關翻譯方法進行了探討,希望能為今后的中醫(yī)藥文本的翻譯提供一個較為有價值的參考。筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)在文化外宣過程中,交際翻譯對考慮目的語讀者的文化背景和思維模式、避免文化理解沖突有重要作用,但在某些程度上,存在欠譯的問題。此外,由于筆者對中國傳統(tǒng)中醫(yī)藥知識缺乏全面了解,對部分內(nèi)容不能提供完全準確的譯文,只能根據(jù)各種現(xiàn)有參考資料及自身理解形成一個較為有價值的譯文,對此還需要進一步的探索和研究。
[Abstract]:This paper is a practical report on translation from Chinese to English. The original text of the translated material is taken from the first two episodes of the documentary, China of Herbal Medicine, directed by the State Administration of traditional Chinese Medicine. This documentary takes "Chinese herbal medicine" as the breakthrough point, exposes and records the reclusive Chinese medicine grass story from the warm and real visual angle, deeply decrypts the mysterious essence of traditional Chinese medicine culture. In the course of practical translation, the author deeply feels the breadth and depth of Chinese medical culture, and hopes that this text can help promote the dissemination of Chinese excellent culture to the outside world. In this project, based on the translation method of Peter Newmark's "communicative Translation", the author starts with the lexical and syntactic aspects, aiming at choosing the appropriate translation methods and techniques according to the characteristics of the selected materials. It is hoped that the language style and form of the original text can be kept while the original content is conveyed faithfully, so that the foreign readers can understand Chinese traditional medicine culture more clearly and accurately. In addition, in view of the characteristics of the source text with more Chinese cultural color and knowledge related to medicine, the author analyzes and explores the culture-loaded words appearing in the text, and discusses the concrete processing methods in translation by way of examples. For example, pinyin with annotation, literal translation, free translation and other translation methods are applied in actual translation. In this practical activity, the author has carried on the translation to the Chinese traditional Chinese medicine culture documentary text and has carried on the discussion to the related translation method, hoped can provide a valuable reference for the future Chinese medicine text translation. The author finds that communicative translation plays an important role in considering the cultural background and mode of thinking of the target language readers and avoiding conflicts of cultural understanding in the process of cultural publicity. However, to some extent, there are some problems of undertranslation. In addition, due to the lack of a comprehensive understanding of Chinese traditional Chinese medicine knowledge, the author could not provide a complete and accurate translation of some of the contents, but could only form a more valuable translation based on various existing reference materials and his own understanding. It also needs further exploration and research.
