本文是一篇英漢翻譯實踐報告。所選文本報告原文選自《二戰(zhàn)不為人知的美國女特工》。由記者兼?zhèn)饔涀骷宜髂釈I·珀內(nèi)爾所著,她曾就職于《經(jīng)濟學人》《電訊報》和《星期日泰晤士報》。該文本屬于人物傳記類作品。譯者從中選取第二章和第三章作為源文本,節(jié)選章節(jié)主要講述美國人弗吉尼亞·霍爾在二戰(zhàn)中偶然成為盟軍女間諜,在幫助維希法國擊敗納粹德國過程中的英勇事跡。在介紹翻譯報告的背景、論文結(jié)構(gòu)以及翻譯過程的基礎(chǔ)上,譯者主要從詞匯、句法、篇章及修辭方面闡述了此次翻譯實踐中所遇到的難點,并舉例分析了所采取的翻譯方法。其中在詞匯層面上,針對軍事術(shù)語,重大歷史事件及外國人名地名,譯者采用了加注法與音譯法,并采用增譯法來明確隱含意。句法層面,在翻譯定語從句時,譯者采用了后置法。在翻譯長難句時,譯者采用了重組與分譯法。在篇章層面,譯者采用了回指和替代以解決銜接與連貫存在的困難。最后在修辭格的翻譯中,難點主要集中在隱喻,排比與反問方面。譯者分別采用了意譯與順譯法翻譯。通過此次翻譯實踐,譯者對二戰(zhàn)西歐戰(zhàn)場的歷史有了更深的了解。此外,譯者的翻譯能力也得到了進一步的提高。譯者對本報告的翻譯,一方面希望能夠引起讀者對二戰(zhàn)的反思,前事...
