虛構(gòu)亦真實(shí):從歷史元小說(shuō)角度解讀《午夜之子》

【摘要】:薩爾曼·拉什迪是當(dāng)代英國(guó)文壇備受關(guān)注的一位作家,他于1981年發(fā)表的經(jīng)典力作《午夜之子》為其贏得了布克文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)。這部主題深遠(yuǎn)的小說(shuō)自問(wèn)世伊始便備受矚目,作品的相關(guān)研究也不勝枚舉,批評(píng)家們關(guān)注的主題之一是“歷史”。雖已有學(xué)者指出該小說(shuō)中拉什迪的醬菜歷史觀,但并未涉及主人公薩里姆歷史撰寫(xiě)的具體過(guò)程及歷史蹤跡在歷史撰寫(xiě)過(guò)程中的作用。本文從歷史元小說(shuō)角度分析薩爾曼·拉什迪的小說(shuō)《午夜之子》,首先分析薩里姆在歷史撰寫(xiě)中對(duì)“嬰兒快照”、“繪畫(huà)《羅利的少年時(shí)代》”以及“報(bào)紙”人為賦意的過(guò)程,其次從小說(shuō)中其他人物對(duì)這些歷史蹤跡的解讀以及歷史蹤跡本身的記憶謬誤探析歷史蹤跡的復(fù)義性,旨在說(shuō)明歷史蹤跡闡釋者的主觀性以及歷史蹤跡的復(fù)義性共同促成了歷史撰寫(xiě)的虛構(gòu)性。重新審視歷史撰寫(xiě)中的虛構(gòu)與真實(shí)不僅使宏大敘事造就的神話破滅,而且為我們提供一種以多樣、異質(zhì)和差異為核心的后現(xiàn)代“多元”言辭,即世間萬(wàn)物均有其存在的價(jià)值,我們應(yīng)認(rèn)識(shí)到生活的多面性。
[Abstract]:Salman Rushdie is one of the most concerned writers in contemporary British literature. His classic, the Child of midnight, published in 1981, won him the Booker Prize for Literature. The novel, with its profound theme, has attracted much attention since its inception, and there have been numerous studies on it. One of the topics of concern to critics is History. Although some scholars have pointed out Rushdie's view of pickle history in the novel, it does not deal with the concrete process of the protagonist Salem's historical writing and the role of historical traces in the process of historical writing. From the perspective of historical metafiction, this paper analyzes Salman Rushdie's novel the son of midnight. First of all, he analyzes the artificial process of Salem's "Infant Snapshot", "painting" and "newspaper" in his historical writing. Secondly, from the interpretation of these historical traces by other characters in the novel and the memory fallacy of the historical trail itself, this paper analyzes the complexity of the historical trace. The purpose of this paper is to explain the subjectivity of historical traces and the complexity of historical traces, which contributes to the fictitious writing of history. The reexamination of fiction and reality in historical writing not only destroys the mythology created by grand narration, but also provides us with a post-modern "pluralistic" language with diversity, heterogeneity and difference as the core, that is, all things in the world have their own value of existence. We should recognize the multifaceted nature of life.
