[Abstract]:Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) has recently developed a technology to produce two biological products from two waste biomass streams. The process of anaerobic decomposition of wastewater sludge is improved by introducing carbon sequestration derived from biomass in biogas digesters to produce regenerative natural gas of pipeline quality, and the bio-solid produced by it can be used as high quality fertilizer. Argonne National Laboratory researchers have studied this for three years, and the Department of Energy's Bioenergy Technology Office has funded Argonne National Laboratory with a $1.5 million grant.
