【摘要】：正當(dāng)陳旭麓向鐘叔河推薦重版蔣廷黻寫于1938年的《中國(guó)近代史》時(shí),縈繞在他心頭的是蔣廷黻在書中所宣告的那個(gè)論斷——中國(guó)近代以來(lái)的根本問(wèn)題,就是能不能實(shí)現(xiàn)近代化;若能,中國(guó)是有希望的,若不能,則中國(guó)的未來(lái)是沒(méi)有希望的。"近代化"從上世紀(jì)三十年代成為知識(shí)界一個(gè)流行的"熱詞",到改革開(kāi)放以后成為若干思想解放運(yùn)動(dòng)所呼應(yīng)的時(shí)代主題詞,中國(guó)學(xué)人對(duì)它的內(nèi)涵以及與中國(guó)現(xiàn)實(shí)關(guān)系的理解,經(jīng)歷了若干起伏與變遷。作為建國(guó)后一段時(shí)期內(nèi)被當(dāng)做胡適派資產(chǎn)
