【摘要】：以張之洞為代表的洋務(wù)派創(chuàng)辦農(nóng)務(wù)學(xué)堂,聘請(qǐng)洋教習(xí),引進(jìn)良種果木等舉措客觀上推動(dòng)了中國傳統(tǒng)農(nóng)業(yè)向近代農(nóng)業(yè)的改良和進(jìn)步。作為張之洞聘請(qǐng)的首位洋教習(xí),美國人布里爾來華工作三年時(shí)間,是近代歷史上中美以官方性質(zhì)開展農(nóng)業(yè)科技交流的最早參與者。他在中國引進(jìn)優(yōu)良品種,推介國外農(nóng)具和書籍,傳播先進(jìn)的農(nóng)業(yè)科學(xué)技術(shù)和農(nóng)學(xué)思想。作為湖北農(nóng)務(wù)學(xué)堂的主要籌建者之一,布里爾為近代中國農(nóng)業(yè)教育的起步與發(fā)展也做出了積極的貢獻(xiàn)。但是,結(jié)合史料客觀分析,布里爾來華具有多重目的和動(dòng)機(jī),這也是在特定歷史階段,中美官方開展農(nóng)業(yè)科技交流被時(shí)代烙印的基本性質(zhì)和特征。
[Abstract]:The Westernization School, represented by Zhang Zhidong, established the agricultural school, employed foreign teaching and learning, and introduced improved fruits and trees, which objectively promoted the improvement and progress of Chinese traditional agriculture to modern agriculture. As the first foreign teacher employed by Zhang Zhidong, Brill, an American, came to China for three years and was the earliest participant in the official exchange of agricultural science and technology between China and Israel in modern history. He introduced fine varieties in China, introduced foreign agricultural tools and books, and disseminated advanced agricultural science and technology and agronomy ideas. As one of the main founders of Hubei Agricultural School, Brill has also made a positive contribution to the beginning and development of agricultural education in modern China. However, based on the objective analysis of historical data, Brill's coming to China has many purposes and motives, which is also the basic nature and characteristic of the Chinese and American governments to carry out agricultural science and technology exchanges in a certain historical stage.
