【摘要】：分布式并行模擬是提高體系結(jié)構(gòu)模擬速度的有效技術(shù)手段之一.首先,建立了分布式并行模擬的通用性能分析模型,并對典型系統(tǒng)的并行加速比、并行效率等性質(zhì)進行了理論分析,得出了一些有用的結(jié)論.在此基礎(chǔ)上,提出了均衡可擴展分布式并行模擬方法 SEDSim(scalable and evenly distributed simulation).SEDSim針對模擬節(jié)點負載不均衡問題,提出了開銷模型指導(dǎo)的指令區(qū)間均衡分割和分配策略CoMEPA(cost model guided evenly partition and allocation);針對分布式并行模擬與非連續(xù)、任意數(shù)量抽樣模擬區(qū)間的高效集成,提出了基于最小等價距離(minimum equivalent cost,簡稱MinEC)的指令區(qū)間分配策略MinEC.基于sim-outorder實現(xiàn)了SEDSim,采用SPEC CPU2000中的部分程序?qū)ζ渌俣群途冗M行了測試,理論分析和測試結(jié)果均表明了SEDSim的優(yōu)勢:相對于常用的方法或策略,CoMEPA和MinEC分別能夠獲得多達約1.6倍和1.4倍的性能提升.
[Abstract]:Distributed parallel simulation is one of the effective techniques to improve the speed of architecture simulation. Firstly, the general performance analysis model of distributed parallel simulation is established, and the parallel speedup and parallel efficiency of typical systems are analyzed theoretically, and some useful conclusions are obtained. On this basis, a balanced scalable distributed parallel simulation method, SEDSim (scalable and evenly distributed simulation). SEDSim, is proposed to solve the load imbalance problem of simulated nodes. An instruction interval equalization partition and allocation strategy guided by overhead model is proposed. CoMEPA (cost model guided evenly partition and allocation); is used to efficiently integrate distributed parallel simulation and discontinuous, random number sampling simulation interval. An instruction interval assignment strategy named MinEC. based on minimum equivalent distance (MinEC) is proposed. The speed and precision of SEDSim, are tested by some programs in SPEC CPU2000 based on sim-outorder. Theoretical analysis and test results show the advantages of SEDSim: compared with common methods or strategies, CoMEPA and MinEC can achieve performance gains of up to 1.6 and 1.4 times, respectively.
