[Abstract]:Based on the survey data of floating population in seven cities of China, this paper empirically analyzes the influence of job transformation on the willingness of migrant workers to settle in cities and their intergenerational differences. The results show that: whether the new generation of migrant workers or the first generation of migrant workers, the job transformation has a weakening effect on the willingness to settle in cities, and the weakening effect on the willingness of the first generation of migrant workers to settle in cities is even greater, and in the new generation of migrant workers, For the new generation of migrant workers, job conversion has a "learning effect", which will reduce their willingness to settle in the city in the early stage, but with the increasing of the frequency of job conversion, it has a U-type relationship with their willingness to settle in cities. The willingness to settle in their cities began to pick up. Therefore, in the process of urbanization, we should optimize the labor market and guide the job transformation of migrant workers, so as to provide a better institutional environment for the realization of the "learning effect" of the career transition of migrant workers.
