中國小學(xué)英語教材中的性別偏見研究

本研究試圖探究中國小學(xué)英語教材中是否有性別偏見。研究材料為在三套小學(xué)英語教材(譯林小學(xué)英語YPE、牛津小學(xué)英語(上海版)OPE、人教版小學(xué)英語PPE)的基礎(chǔ)上自建的教材語料庫OYPPETC(含三個子語料庫OPETC、YPETC、PPETC)。本研究以Theo van Leeuwen提出的社會作用力表征理論為框架,從Inclusion,Functionalization,Role allocation,Nomination 以及 Association 五個方面探究中國小學(xué)英語教材在表征女性及男性的過程中是否存在性別偏見。研究結(jié)果表明,總語料庫OYPPETC中存在性別偏見,主要體現(xiàn)在:(1)在不同的場景中,女性和男性的出現(xiàn)比例有顯著差異,女性多出現(xiàn)在有關(guān)購物,衣食起居,室內(nèi)活動的場景中,男性多出現(xiàn)在有關(guān)體育,娛樂,室外活動的場景中;(2)男性職業(yè)的多樣性以及高風(fēng)險高回報的職業(yè)數(shù)量超過女性,并且僅在展現(xiàn)男性職業(yè)的過程中,存在提升男性社會角色形象和地位的主觀描述;(3)在家庭環(huán)境中,女性的非正式稱呼多于男性,體現(xiàn)出女性和孩子的親密關(guān)系。男性的正式稱呼多于女性,體現(xiàn)出孩子對男性的尊重。但是也可...
