教育的代際傳遞:基于家庭生產(chǎn)理論的經(jīng)驗(yàn)證據(jù)

【摘要】:利用中國(guó)教育跟蹤調(diào)查(China Education Panel Survey,CEPS) 2013-2014 年基線調(diào)查數(shù)據(jù),以家庭生產(chǎn)理論為基礎(chǔ),本研究構(gòu)建了父母教育水平對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出影響的解釋框架,以此分析中國(guó)社會(huì)教育代際傳遞的程度、異質(zhì)性以及形成機(jī)制。本研究使用大規(guī)模的基礎(chǔ)調(diào)查微觀數(shù)據(jù),將中國(guó)義務(wù)教育政策的實(shí)行視為外生的自然實(shí)驗(yàn)作為父母受教育水平的工具變量,利用兩階段最小二乘法,分析了教育的代際傳遞,即父母受教育程度對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出的凈影響。本研究的主要貢獻(xiàn)在于,用中國(guó)數(shù)據(jù)論證了父母受教育程度與子女教育產(chǎn)出的因果關(guān)系,并進(jìn)一步分析了這種關(guān)系在不同家庭的表現(xiàn)異質(zhì)性。通過(guò)對(duì)CEPS數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行微觀計(jì)量分析,發(fā)現(xiàn)如下研究結(jié)論:最小二乘法估計(jì)低估了父母受教育水平對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出的影響,即中國(guó)教育代際傳遞程度被低估。母親完成義務(wù)教育對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出具有顯著影響;父親完成義務(wù)教育對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出沒(méi)有顯著影響,但父親受教育年限對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出有顯著影響。父母完成義務(wù)教育的情況對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出的影響也具有異質(zhì)性:城市兒童和女生受到的影響更大以及母親受教育水平對(duì)子女教育產(chǎn)出影響更大。教育代際傳遞主要通過(guò)改變家庭文化資本、經(jīng)濟(jì)收入和社會(huì)資本三個(gè)方面來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn)。本研究的政策啟示是:政府應(yīng)著力開展“精準(zhǔn)扶智”工作,通過(guò)識(shí)別幫扶對(duì)象以及幫扶需求,使幫扶重點(diǎn)向低教育程度家庭的女性成員傾斜,并注重對(duì)城市弱勢(shì)家庭的教育扶貧。
[Abstract]:Based on the baseline survey data of China Education Panel Survey in 2013-2014, and based on the family production theory, this study constructed an explanatory framework for the influence of parents' education level on their children's educational output.This paper analyzes the degree, heterogeneity and formation mechanism of intergenerational transmission of social education in China.Based on the microcosmic data of large-scale basic investigation, this study regards the implementation of China's compulsory education policy as an exogenous natural experiment as a tool variable of parents' educational level, and analyzes the intergenerational transmission of education by using the two-stage least square method.That is, the net effect of parents' educational level on their children's educational output.The main contribution of this study is to use Chinese data to demonstrate the causal relationship between parents' educational level and their children's educational output, and to further analyze the heterogeneity of this relationship in different families.Through microeconometric analysis of CEPS data, the following conclusions are found: the least square estimation underestimates the influence of parents' educational level on their children's educational output, that is, the degree of education transmission between generations in China is underestimated.Mother's completion of compulsory education has a significant influence on children's educational output, while father's completion of compulsory education has no significant influence on children's educational output, but father's years of schooling have a significant influence on children's educational output.The effect of parents' completion of compulsory education on children's educational output is also heterogeneity: urban children and girls are more affected and mothers' education level has more influence on children's educational output.Education intergenerational transmission is mainly realized by changing family cultural capital, economic income and social capital.The policy implications of this study are as follows: the government should focus on the work of "precision support for intelligence", by identifying the object of help and the need to help, so that the focus of help is inclined to the female members of the low-educated family.And pay attention to the education of disadvantaged families in the city poverty alleviation.
