語篇分析是一門新興的學科,自上個世紀五十年代興起以來至今發(fā)展迅猛。語篇分析以應用中的語言為研究對象,旨在更好的了解各種語篇如何在現(xiàn)實生活交際中發(fā)揮作用。這一學科的發(fā)展在很大程度上豐富了翻譯理論,使得翻譯有了更新的發(fā)展。銜接既是語篇分析的中心議題,也是翻譯關注的一大焦點。正因為如此,銜接在翻譯中的應用非常可行。英文商務合同作為一種特殊且典型的語篇,吸引了眾多學者的關注。他們中大多數(shù)人的研究集中在合同文體本身所具有的一些特征,如正式語、古詞語、長句、專業(yè)術語、名詞化等等方面,當然也有一些學者對商務合同語篇的文體風格做過探究,但就作為銜接手段之一的替代在這樣一個特殊的語篇中運用及發(fā)揮語言功能的狀況并未提出太多的見解�；谶@種現(xiàn)狀,本文以Halliday和Hasan的銜接理論為指導,同時結合胡壯麟教授等其他學者關于替代的相關理論,通過對所搜集到的典型例文進行分析、比較和歸納,力圖揭示各種具體的替代手法在英文商務合同中的使用情況及其功能,從而對英文商務合同的閱讀、翻譯、起草及教學起到一定的借鑒作用。通過比較分析,本文得出以下結論:在英文商務合同中,共有四種替代。除了韓禮德和哈桑提出的名詞替代、動...
