[Abstract]:Objective to study the relationship between the parameters of myogenic potential (oVEMP) induced by ocular vestibule and the susceptibility to motion sickness. Methods oVEMP test was performed in 31 patients with motion sickness (MS) and 23 patients with non-susceptible motion sickness. The subjects' self-assessment, motion sickness susceptibility questionnaire (MSSQ) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAS) were used to evaluate the susceptibility to motion sickness. Results bilateral oVEMP reaction was recorded in all subjects. The scores of MSSQ and HAS in susceptible and non-susceptible patients were 18.27 鹵5.23 and 2.34 鹵1.21, respectively, and there were significant differences in MSSQ and HAS scores between susceptible and non-susceptible groups. There was no significant difference in N10 and P15 latency, N10-P15 interval and N10-P15 amplitude between MS susceptible and non-susceptible patients. However, compared with the MS non-susceptible group, the bilateral asymmetry ratio of the amplitude between oVEMP waves in the susceptible group increased (18.55 鹵10.24% vs 13.25 鹵9.47%), although it did not reach statistical significance. Conclusion there is no correlation between oVEMP results and MS susceptibility. Compared with the non-susceptible group, the asymmetry ratio between the amplitude of the susceptible group and the non-susceptible group tends to increase.
