【摘要】：自二十世紀(jì)至今,華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)經(jīng)歷了三個(gè)階段：初始階段,轉(zhuǎn)折階段和繁榮階段。當(dāng)前,處于文化全球化的進(jìn)程下,華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)已經(jīng)越來(lái)越廣泛的被大眾接受并且呈現(xiàn)出前所未有的繁榮景象。本文試圖從一個(gè)宏觀的角度將華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)視為一個(gè)整體對(duì)其進(jìn)行分析,而不是將精力集中在單個(gè)文本的分析上。文章選取了華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)三個(gè)主要發(fā)展階段中代表作家的代表作品：黃玉雪的《華女阿五》,湯婷婷的《女勇士》及譚恩美的《喜福會(huì)》進(jìn)行分析。在此宏觀角度下,本文試圖揭示華裔作家群體在構(gòu)建被異化的華人形象當(dāng)中所呈現(xiàn)出的一種集體趨勢(shì)。本文試圖探索西方讀者腦海中被異化的刻板華人形象究竟是什么樣的。華裔作家在構(gòu)建西方讀者腦海中的華人形象上起到了至關(guān)重要的作用。華裔作家為了迎合西方讀者的好奇心,從以下四個(gè)方面建構(gòu)了東方主義：華人的外表和行為方式,華人的思維模式,華人的家庭觀念以及華人在社會(huì)中所處的失語(yǔ)狀態(tài)。另外,本文同樣關(guān)注于分析華裔作家為何故意刻畫(huà)出怪異的華人形象。首先,華裔作家多年生活在美國(guó)并且深受美國(guó)文化的影響,他們已經(jīng)意識(shí)到了美國(guó)文化中的種種優(yōu)點(diǎn),所以他們更傾向于將自己視為美國(guó)人。因此,他們刻意地在自己和他們的父母和祖先之間劃清界限。其次,他們關(guān)于中國(guó)和中國(guó)形象的寫(xiě)作素材都來(lái)源于父母講給他們的中國(guó)故事。為了完成他們的作品,他們加入了自己的大量想象。這些作家缺乏對(duì)于中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)和中國(guó)文化的系統(tǒng)性了解。因此,他們作品中的華人形象并不是完全真實(shí)的。這些形象不是被扭曲了就是被夸張了。本文是對(duì)東方主義理論的一次應(yīng)用,將文化和政治因素融入了對(duì)文學(xué)作品的分析。由于中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)政治地位在世界上的提升,讓讀者意識(shí)到被異化的華人形象具有片面性十分必要。本文為越來(lái)越多的讀者重新思考華人形象提供了一個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)。
