凱瑟琳·安·波特是20世紀(jì)美國(guó)南方著名的短篇小說(shuō)作家,她的一生歷盡艱辛:兩歲時(shí)喪母,少年放棄宗教信仰離家與他人結(jié)婚,數(shù)次婚姻都以失敗告終,患過(guò)肺結(jié)核,險(xiǎn)些喪命于大流感。同時(shí),她也見(jiàn)證了當(dāng)時(shí)世界遭遇的挫折:美國(guó)南方社會(huì)的衰落,1929年世界經(jīng)濟(jì)大危機(jī),第一次世界大戰(zhàn)對(duì)世界的摧殘以及第二次世界大戰(zhàn)給人類社會(huì)帶來(lái)的沉重災(zāi)難。這位飽經(jīng)滄桑的作家,用自己的著作記錄著自己和20世紀(jì)美國(guó)乃至世界所遭受的挫折與創(chuàng)傷。其作品數(shù)量不多,大部分為中短篇小說(shuō)。波特創(chuàng)作的源泉大多來(lái)自親身經(jīng)歷,文章陰暗的主題和她一生中遭受的傷害相關(guān)。因此她的小說(shuō)充滿了對(duì)于童年、家庭、婚姻、人性、社會(huì)和戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)的創(chuàng)傷記憶與反思。文獻(xiàn)調(diào)研結(jié)果顯示,國(guó)內(nèi)對(duì)于波特多部作品中的創(chuàng)傷及其治療的系統(tǒng)研究十分罕見(jiàn)。鑒于此,本文以創(chuàng)傷理論為依據(jù),探討波特中短篇小說(shuō)中所涉及到的不同類型的創(chuàng)傷,對(duì)小說(shuō)中出現(xiàn)的創(chuàng)傷事件、創(chuàng)傷癥狀、影響以及成因進(jìn)行分析,揭示人們治療創(chuàng)傷的不同選擇,以及作者在特定社會(huì)歷史情境下對(duì)創(chuàng)傷問(wèn)題的深刻思考。創(chuàng)傷理論是一個(gè)以分析創(chuàng)傷事件、創(chuàng)傷癥狀和創(chuàng)傷的恢復(fù)治療為核心的理論。茱蒂絲·赫曼提出了治療創(chuàng)傷的三個(gè)階段,同時(shí)也包含了三種治療創(chuàng)傷...
