尤金·奧尼爾是美國(guó)著名的戲劇作家。他一生創(chuàng)作了五十幾部作品,獲得了諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng),四次獲得普利策文學(xué)獎(jiǎng),被譽(yù)為美國(guó)現(xiàn)代戲劇之父。他的代表作品有《瓊斯皇》、《長(zhǎng)日入夜行》、《榆樹下的欲望》、《送冰的人來了》等等。奧尼爾的作品主要都是悲劇。關(guān)于奧尼爾的悲劇,國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)界都有著廣泛并且深入的研究,比如他的悲劇思想,悲劇原型,然而本文研究的是尼采思想對(duì)其悲劇的影響。奧尼爾曾多次在公開場(chǎng)合表明自己對(duì)尼采的推崇。尼采思想對(duì)其作品的影響不言而喻。本文擬從兩個(gè)方面來分析奧尼爾的相關(guān)作品。這兩個(gè)方面是尼采在《查拉圖斯特拉如是說》中提到的超人哲學(xué)思想,以及尼采在《悲劇的誕生》中提到的酒神精神和日神精神。這兩個(gè)方面的概念都是尼采哲學(xué)思想中核心理念,對(duì)于理解奧尼爾的悲劇作品有著大有裨益。本文擬分為五章論述,第一章是對(duì)尤金·奧尼爾的生平和創(chuàng)作生涯的介紹以及國(guó)內(nèi)外的文獻(xiàn)研究綜述。第二章闡述與尤金·奧尼爾悲劇作品密切相關(guān)的尼采的酒神精神和日神精神,以及超人哲學(xué)思想。第三章分析尼采的酒神精神和日神精神在奧尼爾兩部作品,即《長(zhǎng)日入夜行》和《榆樹下的欲望》中的反映。第四章則探討尼采的超人哲學(xué)思想在奧尼爾另兩部悲劇作品《拉撒...
