《地下鐵道》的“界”與“越”

美國作家科爾森·懷特黑德所著小說《地下鐵道》講述了黑奴科拉借助地下鐵道逃離南方種植園,一路北上,探尋自由的歷程。作品的越界意涵豐富。以福柯、詹克斯和巴赫金的越界思想為理論框架,本文探討《地下鐵道》的越界主題。全文包括五章。第一章緒論,綜述作品相關文獻,闡明理論框架,提出本文的研究意義與結構。第二章論述非裔美國群體遭遇的邊界?臻g維度上,南北方集團之間、以及各方集團內部均存在嚴重分歧,對非裔美國群體設置不同邊界。若將爭執(zhí)不休的各方并置,則構成一幅另類美國地圖:美利堅分裂合眾國。時間維度上,在不同邊界的背后,是一以貫之的黑人壓迫史,反映了種族主義在美國的境況:持久性、頑固性。第三章分析邊界的形成;浇獭妒ソ洝泛兔绹摹疤於\論”是建構邊界的基石。普通白人群眾盲從權威和集體,被白人價值觀內化的黑人和白人同謀,由此加固了邊界。第四章探討越界?评捌淙后w、以及白人廢奴者從理念和實踐的層次上質疑邊界的合理性,積極構建黑人主體性,獲得黑人群體的提升。第五章結論。越界在美國民族關系的變遷中發(fā)揮著積極的作用,《地下鐵道》勾勒的從單極霸權、兩極對立到多極共存的發(fā)展軌跡呼應了美國種族關系構思的歷史...
