從創(chuàng)傷理論視角看《天使不敢涉足的地方》中主要人物的成長

《天使不敢涉足的地方》是二十世紀英國著名小說家愛德華·摩根·福斯特的代表作之一。該小說一經(jīng)發(fā)表便以引人入勝的故事情節(jié)和個性鮮明的人物形象引起了讀者和評論界的廣泛關(guān)注。國內(nèi)外學(xué)者分別從寫作技巧、主題思想、文化批評以及精神分析等視角對該部小說進行了大量的解讀與研究。本文將運用創(chuàng)傷理論文學(xué)批評方法,分別從創(chuàng)傷癥候、創(chuàng)傷原因和創(chuàng)傷治愈三個層面對小說中主要人物的成長經(jīng)歷進行詳細解讀。通過分析小說中主要人物的創(chuàng)傷表現(xiàn),本文力求揭示出福斯特內(nèi)心潛藏的創(chuàng)傷意識以及他作品中的創(chuàng)傷主題,并探討創(chuàng)傷對人物成長產(chǎn)生的重大影響,從而強調(diào)正確治療創(chuàng)傷的重要性,期望為現(xiàn)代人在積極治愈創(chuàng)傷方面提供一些借鑒和啟示。全文總共包括六個章節(jié)。第一章主要介紹福斯特的生平及其作品《天使不敢涉足的地方》,整理歸納國內(nèi)外相關(guān)學(xué)者對其作品的研究,從而提出本文的研究目的與意義。第二章為理論框架,簡要概述創(chuàng)傷理論的定義、發(fā)展及其在文學(xué)領(lǐng)域中的運用。第三章主要從創(chuàng)傷癥候方面來展現(xiàn)小說中的個人和集體創(chuàng)傷,分析得出創(chuàng)傷癥候是受害者的生理和心理應(yīng)激反應(yīng),不同受害者會有不同的表現(xiàn)。文中個人創(chuàng)傷癥候主要包括莉莉婭的回避和孤獨,卡羅琳的內(nèi)疚和壓抑,菲利...
