【摘要】：喬治·愛略特將"面紗"的浪漫詩學(xué)意涵與哥特式認(rèn)知隱喻進(jìn)行氣質(zhì)雜糅,在其現(xiàn)實(shí)主義小說作品中呈現(xiàn)濃郁的文化"精神分裂氣質(zhì)"。她通過呈現(xiàn)面紗在審美和認(rèn)知之間所形成的認(rèn)知迷霧,質(zhì)詢絕對的認(rèn)知模式并認(rèn)可他者的不可盡悉,進(jìn)而呼吁審美同情的干預(yù)。憑借審美同情的想象空間,人遵循審美訴求判別自我與他者的差異以及實(shí)現(xiàn)自我與自我的和解,并依靠關(guān)系、鏈接的驅(qū)動來整合自我和他者的關(guān)系,從而推動個體人到社會人的轉(zhuǎn)型。與揭露"事實(shí)"相比,此認(rèn)知模式展現(xiàn)的是基于想象而改變的"可能性",因此更益于人際關(guān)系的形成和社會共同體的構(gòu)建。這使愛略特在受認(rèn)知焦慮困擾的維多利亞時代得以重申藝術(shù)和文學(xué)在人類探索真理的過程中無可取代之地位。
[Abstract]:George Eliot combines the romantic poetic meaning of the veil with the Gothic cognitive metaphor and presents a rich cultural "schizophrenic temperament" in his realistic novels. By presenting the cognitive fog formed by the veil between aesthetics and cognition, she questioned the absolute cognitive model and recognized the incompleteness of others, and then appealed for the intervention of aesthetic sympathy. With the imagination space of aesthetic sympathy, people follow the aesthetic appeal to judge the difference between themselves and others and realize the reconciliation between themselves and themselves, and rely on the relationship, the drive of links to integrate the relationship between themselves and others. Thus promotes the individual person to the social person transformation. Compared with revealing "fact", this cognitive model shows "possibility" which is changed based on imagination, so it is more beneficial to the formation of interpersonal relationship and the construction of social community. This allowed Eliot to reaffirm the irreplaceable place of art and literature in the human quest for truth in the Victorian era of cognitive anxiety.
