【摘要】：霍勒斯·沃波爾的《奧特朗托城堡》問世于英國社會急劇轉(zhuǎn)型的十八世紀(jì)中后期,它融古代傳奇與"現(xiàn)代"寫實(shí)小說兩種文體于一爐,開啟了哥特小說創(chuàng)作的先河,其中的哥特元素形象地表現(xiàn)了以作者為代表的中產(chǎn)階級的焦慮。本文從政體、身份、性別三方面解讀該作品,探討作者重建理想社會形態(tài)的烏托邦沖動以及自我舒緩焦慮的策略。
[Abstract]:Horace Walpole's Castle of Otlanto came out in the middle and late part of 18th century, when British society changed dramatically. It combined ancient legends and "modern" realistic novels, and opened the way for the creation of Gothic novels. The Gothic elements vividly express the anxiety of the middle class represented by the author. This paper interprets the work from three aspects: regime, identity and gender. To explore the author's strategies for reconstructing the utopian impulse and self-relieving anxiety of the ideal society.
