在言語交際過程中,人們總是潛意識地運(yùn)用合作、禮貌、關(guān)聯(lián)等語用原則達(dá)到交際順暢的目的。然而,會話中違反上述語用原則的現(xiàn)象卻時(shí)有發(fā)生,這并不意味著交際者的不合作或不禮貌,而是體現(xiàn)一種特殊的語言機(jī)制——刻意曲解。 刻意曲解在會話中的應(yīng)用常常引發(fā)幽默效果。著名語言學(xué)家何自然在其著作中也提到制造幽默效果是刻意曲解的語用功能,但僅作為眾多語用功能之一加以介紹,并未對其進(jìn)行細(xì)致的研究。事實(shí)上,會話中人們常常利用言語中的不確定因素故意歪曲說話人所表達(dá)的含意來達(dá)到自己制造幽默效果的目的,這就是刻意曲解的應(yīng)用,只是我們未意識到這就是一種語用策略,也忽略了二者之間的關(guān)系。通過對大量實(shí)例的分析和研究,作者發(fā)現(xiàn)在會話過程中刻意曲解常常利用語言或話語隱含意中存在的不確定因素來制造幽默效果。因此本文試圖在這一方面做些嘗試,從刻意曲解入手,分別從語音,詞匯,句法和語篇層面探討刻意曲解引發(fā)幽默效應(yīng)的有效途徑。
