合作是人類相互作用的基本形式之一。國際21世紀教育委員會向聯(lián)合國教科文組織提交的報告《教育——財富蘊藏其中》把“學會合作”看作面向21世紀的四大教育支柱之一。因此,增強學生的合作意識,提高學生的合作能力成為當前學校教育的目標之一。語言教學應是學校教育中培養(yǎng)學生合作意識和能力最有效的途徑之一,因為語言是人類交流的工具,語言教學的根本目的就是讓學生能用其進行交流,而交流是合作必不可缺的環(huán)節(jié)。可見,語言教學比其他任何一門學科更需要合作學習。自20世紀70年代在美國形成以來,合作學習已成為教育研究的焦點。對合作學習作用的眾多研究結果表明,其正負作用并存。因此,為了最大限度地發(fā)揮合作學習對外語教學的積極作用,如何確保其有效性尤顯重要。以往大多數(shù)研究表明,積極的相互依賴、促進性交互、人際交往技能、小組加工以及個體責任這五要素能確保合作學習的有效性。隨著社會心理學的發(fā)展,一些研究發(fā)現(xiàn),小組合作有效性也與團體凝聚力密切相關。對團體凝聚力這一理論的研究大多基于卡倫（1985）提出的團體凝聚力概念模型。但該模型常運用于體育界的研究,到目前為止很少運用到外語教學領域并獲得實質性的實驗結果。此外,這些研究重在...
