【摘要】： 本文是一篇針對十九與二十世紀(jì)之交美國音樂史重要作曲家麥克道威爾和第二新英格蘭學(xué)派從多個方面進(jìn)行比較的研究論文。 本文意在通過從不同角度對兩者進(jìn)行比較分析和總結(jié),找出兩者的風(fēng)格異同點(diǎn),從而對什么特點(diǎn)使麥克道威爾贏得了更多音樂史學(xué)家的贊譽(yù),什么事件使麥克道威爾被認(rèn)為是這個時代美國最偉大的作曲家,因而被認(rèn)為是一個時代的總結(jié)等這些問題有進(jìn)一步深入的了解。 雖然兩者在許多方面有相似的地方,但是做為一個音樂詩人,麥克道威爾將音樂看作是靈魂的語言,用他特有的文學(xué)思路開創(chuàng)了獨(dú)特的創(chuàng)作手法。一場音樂民族主義思潮的激辯中,他對音樂民族主義的觀點(diǎn)也具有開創(chuàng)性的意義。這些最終使麥克道威爾不僅成為一個美國式浪漫主義的縮影,更是一個舊時代總結(jié)和新時代到來的里程碑式的人物。
[Abstract]:This paper is a comparative study of the important American music composer McDowell and the second New England School at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The purpose of this paper is to find out the similarities and differences between the two styles through comparative analysis and summary from different angles, so as to win more praise from music historians for what characteristics McDowell has won. What makes McDowell the greatest American composer of this era and thus the summary of the era has a deeper understanding of these issues. Although they are similar in many ways, as a music poet, McDowell regards music as the language of the soul and creates a unique creative technique with his unique literary ideas. In a fierce debate of musical nationalism, his views on musical nationalism are also groundbreaking. These make McDowell not only a epitome of American Romanticism, but also a landmark figure of the old era and the arrival of a new era.
