本文試圖從文化差異的角度對傅東華和黃懷仁、朱攸若的《飄》的中譯本進(jìn)行對比研究,目的在于找出兩者所使用的翻譯策略,分析不同的翻譯方法在對待文化差異問題上的優(yōu)劣,進(jìn)而給讀者帶來啟發(fā)。 全文共分五章。 第一章,作者首先指出了本研究的意義所在,解釋了翻譯的實(shí)質(zhì)和文學(xué)翻譯的過程,介紹了小說《飄》及其兩個譯本,然后回顧了歷史上翻譯界對其進(jìn)行研究的方法和成果,繼而提出了本文的研究方法,即文化差異角度研究。 第二章的目的在于分析在文學(xué)翻譯中注意文化差異的必要性。本章解釋了什么是文化,提出了有關(guān)文化的定義的最權(quán)威的解釋,認(rèn)為文化主要分為物質(zhì)文化,制度文化和精神文化,前兩者屬于文化的顯性方面,后者又可以稱作文化的隱性方面。文章接著指出本文將從文化差異的兩個方面進(jìn)行研究,即從顯性文化差異和隱性文化差異角度進(jìn)行研究。 第三、四兩章是論文的主體部分。作者分別從顯性文化差異和隱性文化差異兩個主要方面對《飄》的兩個中譯本進(jìn)行對比分析。在第三章中,作者指出顯性文化差異體現(xiàn)在文學(xué)翻譯中主要為語言差異,翻譯需要在語言的民族性和自然性,歷史性和時代性之間尋找平衡。第四章指出,文化的隱性差異也就是文化的精神差異。文章從三個角...
