《喧嘩與騷動》是威廉·�？思{最成功的一部代表作，它充分體現(xiàn)了�？思{在敘事技巧方面的造詣和才華。在這部作品中，�？思{運(yùn)用間接的敘事手法塑造了女主人公凱蒂的形象，使得凱蒂的形象符合�？思{的創(chuàng)作初衷：既讓凱蒂始終不出場，又讓她的形象生動地出現(xiàn)讀者的腦海中。本文從不可靠敘述者的可靠性的角度，來探討�？思{的間接敘事手法對凱蒂形象的塑造的作用，并證明不可靠敘述者與可靠敘述者在對主人物的塑造中一樣勝任，從而為解讀《喧嘩與騷動》這部作品提供另一種可行的方法。
