波德萊爾的應(yīng)和論和艾略特的客觀對(duì)應(yīng)物理論都是產(chǎn)生了深遠(yuǎn)影響的文學(xué)理論。其理論的新穎與深刻都開創(chuàng)了風(fēng)氣之先。同時(shí)在其各自的文學(xué)創(chuàng)作中,又把其理論很好地貫穿其中。兩人作為象征主義文學(xué)的開山鼻祖和后象征主義文學(xué)的代表,其文學(xué)理論有著相似和相通之處。但由于主客觀因素,不同之處也是很明顯的。通過比較我們對(duì)象征主義文學(xué)的發(fā)展會(huì)有一個(gè)深刻的了解。在發(fā)展的過程中,后者的創(chuàng)作與創(chuàng)新使其成為一個(gè)連續(xù)的文學(xué)流派,給文學(xué)傳統(tǒng)加了濃重的一筆。首先本文將追溯到象征主義的源頭——古希臘。接著筆者將討論康德對(duì)象征主義產(chǎn)生重要影響的美學(xué)理論。第二,三,四,五章是文章的主干,在討論完波德萊爾和艾略特各自的理論—應(yīng)和和客觀對(duì)應(yīng)物之后。文章將通過背景,對(duì)作家主動(dòng)性的強(qiáng)調(diào),對(duì)往昔的向往和音樂的因素來比較它們的相似之處,通過對(duì)感情的態(tài)度,與傳統(tǒng)的關(guān)系和不同的宗教性來對(duì)比它們的差異。通過上面的討論,筆者希望能夠相對(duì)清楚地表現(xiàn)兩位作家的異同,從中對(duì)象征主義文學(xué)的兩個(gè)階段有一個(gè)更深的理解。
