魔幻現(xiàn)實主義視角下的《所羅門之歌》解讀

【摘要】:1993年托尼·莫里森成為第一位杰出的獲得諾貝爾文學獎的非裔美國女作家。《所羅門之歌》(1977)是莫里森的第三部小說,作品的出版奠定了莫里森在當代美國文壇上的重要地位。同時代的作家中也有以美國黑人在白人世界里找尋自我、尋求精神自由為主題的作品。為何唯獨莫里森的《所羅門之歌》能夠獨樹一幟,擁有如此強大的吸引力?這部小說強大的震撼力與莫里森對魔幻現(xiàn)實主義的運用是分不開的,這一手法變現(xiàn)實為幻想而不失其真,從而以獨特的藝術方式在更為本質的程度上反映現(xiàn)實。這樣的寫作特色目前為止國內外鮮有人涉足,其實是最引人注目并且最值得研究的地方。 魔幻現(xiàn)實主義是現(xiàn)代主義中獨具特色的一個分支,這類小說其最典型的特征就是基于現(xiàn)實基礎上的魔幻成分,,但最終的目的是反映生活中難以解決的現(xiàn)實,尤其是集中反映二十世紀三十年代美國黑人的精神困境。因此,論文擬以魔幻現(xiàn)實主義理論為指導,旨在詳細地討論魔幻現(xiàn)實主義創(chuàng)作手法在《所羅門之歌》中的具體體現(xiàn),即在小說的主題、人物、技巧上的應用。通過揭示作品中魔幻成分,研究黑人的真實現(xiàn)狀。而且,莫里森在《所羅門之歌》中之所以運用拉美魔幻現(xiàn)實主義與她作為非裔美國人的個人經歷有密切關系。通過對其背景的分析,筆者試圖更深層次地理解魔幻現(xiàn)實主義手法與《所羅門之歌》相結合的意義。 對《所羅門之歌》中魔幻現(xiàn)實主義的分析無法窮盡小說的魅力,但莫里森展現(xiàn)了美國黑人生存現(xiàn)狀以及指出繼承黑人傳統(tǒng)文化才能獲得真正自由。美國黑人必須立足本民族文化,正視歷史,從中吸取教訓,才能拯救未來。最后,本文得出結論:魔幻現(xiàn)實主義在《所羅門之歌》中充分展示了它的獨特藝術魅力,小說的主題、人物、技巧就是通過魔幻現(xiàn)實主義表現(xiàn)出來,這足以證明魔幻現(xiàn)實主義在這本小說的創(chuàng)作中占有舉足輕重的地位。
[Abstract]:In 1993, Tony Morrison became the first African-American woman writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. Song of Solomon (1977) is Morrison's third novel, whose publication has established Morrison's important position in contemporary American literature. Among contemporary writers, there are also works on the theme of black Americans seeking themselves and spiritual freedom in the white world. Why is Morrison's Song of Solomon the only one that has such a strong appeal? The powerful force of this novel is inseparable from Morrison's use of magic realism, which is realized as a fantasy without losing its truth, thus reflecting the reality to a more essential extent in a unique artistic way. Such writing features so far few people at home and abroad dabble, in fact, is the most noticeable and most worthy of study. Magic realism is a unique branch of modernism. The most typical feature of this kind of novel is the magic element based on reality, but the ultimate purpose is to reflect the difficult reality in life. In particular, it focuses on the spiritual plight of black Americans in the 1930's. Therefore, under the guidance of the theory of magic realism, the paper aims to discuss in detail the concrete embodiment of magic realism in the Song of Solomon, that is, the application of the theme, characters and techniques of the novel. By revealing the magical elements in the works, the real situation of black people is studied. Moreover, Morrison's use of Latin American magic realism in Song of Solomon is closely related to her personal experience as an African-American. Through the analysis of its background, the author tries to understand the significance of the combination of magic realism and songs of Solomon. The analysis of magic realism in Song of Solomon does not exhaust the charm of the novel, but Morrison shows the existence of black Americans and points out that only by inheriting black traditional culture can we obtain real freedom. Black Americans must base themselves on their own culture, face up to history and draw lessons from it in order to save the future. Finally, the paper draws a conclusion: magic realism fully demonstrates its unique artistic charm in Song of Solomon. The theme, characters and skills of the novel are manifested through magic realism. This proves that magic realism plays an important role in the creation of this novel.
