【摘要】：唐詩,宋詞以及元曲共同構(gòu)成了中國古典文學(xué)的三大高峰,是中國古典傳統(tǒng)文化的代表。三大古典文學(xué)形式在國內(nèi)外都具有一定的影響力,因此,詩歌翻譯,這一文學(xué)翻譯的特殊領(lǐng)域,也受到廣大翻譯家的關(guān)注。從數(shù)量上來說,元曲遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不能與唐詩、宋詞比肩,因此,受其影響,在對(duì)中國古典詩詞翻譯研究的過程中,翻譯家很少把注意力放在對(duì)元曲翻譯的研究上。元曲包括雜劇和散曲,該論文主要研究散曲。直到21世紀(jì)才有了許淵沖和辜正坤兩位詩歌翻譯家的兩本英譯本。另外,詩歌翻譯也引來無數(shù)翻譯家的關(guān)注與爭議。首先,詩歌的可譯性與不可譯性一直是翻譯界爭論的話題之一。其次,對(duì)于詩歌翻譯的原則也是仁者見仁智者見智。傳統(tǒng)的詩歌翻譯理論注重形式等值的譯文,因此這種翻譯理論將重點(diǎn)放在原文上。但由于中西方文化等方面的差異,只追求形式上的對(duì)等往往不能取得相應(yīng)的效果。 20世紀(jì)70年代,功能翻譯理論出現(xiàn)了。在該理論中,目的論是核心。目的論認(rèn)為不同的目的會(huì)導(dǎo)致翻譯者使用不同的翻譯策略和方法。目的論主要有三大原則,即目的原則,連貫原則和忠誠原則。這些具體的翻譯原則更加充分的使翻譯目的作為標(biāo)尺來確定翻譯策略并有選擇性的將原文傳譯在譯文中。由于翻譯家翻譯目的及選用翻譯策略的不同,導(dǎo)致了翻譯的結(jié)果的不同。所以這一原則也驗(yàn)證了為什么不同的翻譯家對(duì)于同一作品會(huì)采用不同的翻譯方法并以此達(dá)到不同的翻譯目的。 本文選擇目的論作為理論基礎(chǔ),利用目的論對(duì)許淵沖和辜正坤的元曲英譯本進(jìn)行了比較分析。但值得指出的是,本文作者并非通過比較從而判斷哪位譯者的譯文更好哪位譯者的譯文稍差,而是想通過比較揭示譯者的翻譯方法和策略會(huì)在很大程度上受到翻譯目的的影響。本文第一章簡要介紹了論文研究的背景和意義。第二章是文獻(xiàn)綜述,簡單回顧之前對(duì)于該領(lǐng)域的研究。第三章是對(duì)目的論及其三大原則的呈現(xiàn)。第四章將理論應(yīng)用于實(shí)踐,將目的論的原則應(yīng)用到具體詩歌的分析中。第五章總結(jié)全文,得出分析結(jié)論。 本文謹(jǐn)從目的論視角對(duì)兩個(gè)元曲英譯本進(jìn)行了比較分析,還望對(duì)學(xué)界元曲英譯有所助益。
