【摘要】：語言是一種為交際過程所制約并帶有交際者心理烙印的符號體系。一個(gè)民族的詞匯和文化均能揭示這個(gè)民族的心理素質(zhì)。詈罵語是各民族日常生活中不可避免的語言現(xiàn)象，它能夠折射出民族的文化與心理。針對詈罵語的翻譯研究能夠促進(jìn)民族語言與文化的理解與傳播，因此，對于詈罵語的翻譯研究不容忽視。 本文以韓禮德的語域理論為基礎(chǔ)，從源語詈罵語的語場和語旨兩方面出發(fā)提出了影響詈罵語翻譯的兩項(xiàng)情景變體，，即詈罵語的文化內(nèi)容和詈罵功能。本文借助語料庫統(tǒng)計(jì)結(jié)果對比分析了《紅樓夢》三個(gè)英文全譯本中高頻詈罵語所包含情景變體的再現(xiàn)情況，試圖探討三位譯者的詈罵語翻譯策略以及異同、得失，以便為今后詈罵語翻譯研究及實(shí)踐提供借鑒。本文選取的語料是《紅樓夢》一百二十回及其三個(gè)英文全譯本（霍克思和閔福德的譯本、楊憲益和戴乃迭的譯本以及邦索爾的譯本）。 研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，三位譯者針對詈罵語的翻譯各有得失�；糇g本多采用意譯，注重譯語與源語中詈罵語在語旨方面的對等，但卻忽略了語場中詈罵語的文化信息，即譯文再現(xiàn)源語中詈罵語的功能和語氣程度較高，再現(xiàn)原文詈罵語文化內(nèi)容的程度較低。楊譯本與霍譯本相似，傾向于意譯，將詈罵語的語旨放在首位，不過比霍譯本注重源語詈罵語的文化信息的對等，即譯語再現(xiàn)源語詈罵語的功能程度較高，再現(xiàn)源語文化程度雖不如邦譯本，但要高于霍譯本。邦譯本采用直譯法，更加強(qiáng)調(diào)譯語與源語中詈罵語的語場文化信息對等，卻輕視了詈罵語語旨中詈罵語的功能與語氣效果，即再現(xiàn)源語詈罵語的文化信息程度較高，再現(xiàn)源語詈罵語的語旨程度較低。本文認(rèn)為，針對詈罵語的翻譯要盡可能地再現(xiàn)源語詈罵語在語場和語旨兩方面的情景變體。在具體翻譯策略上，當(dāng)中西詈罵語文化相似時(shí)，應(yīng)多采用直譯法；當(dāng)中西詈罵語文化發(fā)生沖突時(shí)，應(yīng)該盡可能采取直譯加意譯的翻譯策略。當(dāng)然，由于中英文化的差異，有些詈罵語很難同時(shí)兼顧詈罵語的語場和語旨兩方面內(nèi)容，此時(shí)的取舍取決于譯者的翻譯目的。
