張愛玲譯作中的女性主義干涉策略研究

【摘要】: 張愛玲是我國(guó)文壇上一個(gè)不可多得的才女,在國(guó)內(nèi)外都曾掀起一陣“張熱”。自從張愛玲發(fā)表作品以來(lái),跟隨著她的創(chuàng)作的批評(píng)和研究始終不斷,現(xiàn)在更有愈演愈烈的趨勢(shì)。這個(gè)“生在中國(guó),活在臺(tái)灣,死在美國(guó)”的女作家,死后引起更多的研究與討論。縱使如此,關(guān)于她的研究重點(diǎn)大多擺在小說(shuō)上,甚少有人關(guān)注她的翻譯作品,也從未有人用女性主義翻譯理論結(jié)合她的譯作進(jìn)行文本分析,這一點(diǎn)也是本文最為獨(dú)特之處。 西方女性主義翻譯理論是女性主義與譯學(xué)結(jié)合的產(chǎn)物,女性主義翻譯在實(shí)踐上提倡一種譯者干預(yù)性的翻譯實(shí)踐,要求對(duì)翻譯文本進(jìn)行女性主義的創(chuàng)造;在翻譯策略上,女性主義譯者要求對(duì)翻譯文本進(jìn)行以女性主義為價(jià)值取向的干涉和改寫,例如增補(bǔ)、寫前言及“劫持”等策略。 本文試以張愛玲的四部翻譯作品《老人與!、《怨女》、《秧歌》以及《睡谷故事》為研究對(duì)象,以女性主義翻譯理論為基礎(chǔ),進(jìn)行細(xì)致的文本分析,試圖發(fā)現(xiàn)張愛玲在翻譯過(guò)程中是否對(duì)文本進(jìn)行了女性主義干涉,采用哪種具體的干涉策略,以及她的女性主義思想如何通過(guò)干涉策略在翻譯中得以實(shí)現(xiàn)的。 本文第一章是對(duì)張愛玲翻譯作品研究現(xiàn)狀的必要說(shuō)明及論文所將采用的女性主義翻譯理論進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)要介紹,并提出此論文所將解決的問(wèn)題及可能遇到的難點(diǎn)進(jìn)行假設(shè),最后是此論文的貢獻(xiàn)之處。第二章將圍繞張愛玲與譯作的關(guān)系展開,此章中會(huì)出現(xiàn)張愛玲譯作的簡(jiǎn)要介紹。此外,之所以討論這二者的關(guān)系是因?yàn)?)在翻譯意識(shí)形態(tài)上友好的文本,“作者與譯者都參與的方案”才能最完美地體現(xiàn),女性主義翻譯理論指導(dǎo)下的種種干涉手段才能得以淋漓盡致地發(fā)揮;2)除了《老人與!放c《睡谷故事》,《怨女》及《秧歌》皆為張愛玲自己的女性主義創(chuàng)作,因此她能比其他譯者的理解更為透徹,通過(guò)翻譯中的干涉,她的女性主義思想得到進(jìn)一步增強(qiáng)。第三、四、五章,,在對(duì)原作及張愛玲譯本進(jìn)行細(xì)致的文本分析及比較后,把她的女性主義干涉策略分為三類:增補(bǔ)、寫前言及“劫持”,并提供大量實(shí)例予以證明,其中包括很多張愛玲自己所寫文章,經(jīng)過(guò)分析,同時(shí)也證明了張愛玲在寫作中所應(yīng)用的“男性去勢(shì)”及“軾父文本”策略在其翻譯中也有體現(xiàn)。第六章是對(duì)張愛玲運(yùn)用暗喻作為女性主義干涉策略的總結(jié)、分類及對(duì)其代名詞中的暗喻、形容詞中的暗喻及用含暗喻意義的詞匯代替原詞匯的具體論述,是將西方女性主義翻譯理論與具體實(shí)踐相結(jié)合的產(chǎn)物,具有創(chuàng)新性。本文最后一章是對(duì)全文的概括總結(jié),并提出本論文的創(chuàng)新點(diǎn),不足之處及對(duì)問(wèn)題未來(lái)的研究。 本研究的意義,同時(shí)也是創(chuàng)新點(diǎn)在于1)本論文的研究對(duì)象是我國(guó)著名作家及翻譯家張愛玲,這也是第一次將其獨(dú)特的女性寫作策略納入她自己的翻譯中進(jìn)行論述2)推進(jìn)女性主義翻譯理論在中國(guó)的文本化層面。本論文雖有許多不足之處,但對(duì)我國(guó)的張愛玲研究提供了一個(gè)新的方向和角度。
[Abstract]:Eileen Chang, a rare talented woman in the literary world of our country, has set off a "Zhang fever" both at home and abroad. Since Eileen Chang published his works, the criticism and research following her creation have always been more and more intense. This "born in China, living in Taiwan, dead in the United States", after death, causes more. In this case, most of her research focuses on her novels, few people pay attention to her translation, and there has never been a combination of feminist translation theory with her translation for text analysis, which is also the most unique of this article.
The Western feminist translation theory is the product of the combination of feminism and translatology. Feminist translation advocates a translator's intervening translation practice in practice, requiring feminist creation of translated texts; in translation strategies, feminist translators require feminism as a value orientation. And rewrite, such as additions, prefaces and "hijacking" strategies.
This paper, based on the feminist translation theory, carries out a detailed text analysis based on the four translations of Eileen Chang's translation works: "the old man and the sea >" "the female", "the Yangko >" and "the story of the sleeping Valley". It tries to find out if Eileen Chang interfered with the text in the process of translation, and the specific interference strategy was adopted. How did her feminism come true in the translation process through intervention strategies?
The first chapter of this article is a brief introduction to the present situation of the study of Eileen Chang's translation and the feminist translation theory that the thesis will adopt, and puts forward the problems and the possible difficulties that this thesis will solve, and finally is the contribution of this paper. The second chapter will focus on the relationship between Eileen Chang and the translated works, In this chapter, there will be a brief introduction to the translation of Eileen Chang. In addition, the reason why the relationship between the two is discussed is because of the 1) in the translation of ideologically friendly texts, "the scheme" which "the author and the translator are involved" is the most perfect embodiment, and the interference means under the guidance of feminist translation theory can be fully played; 2) The story of "the old man and the sea >" and "the sleeping Valley", "the grumbling woman" and "the Yangge" are Eileen Chang's own feminist creation, so she can be more thorough than the other translators. Through the interference in the translation, her feminist thoughts are further strengthened. Third, fourth, five chapters, in the original and the Eileen Chang translation of the detailed text analysis and comparison After that, she divided her feminist intervention strategies into three categories: supplement, preface and "hijacking", and provided a large number of examples to prove, including many of Eileen Chang's own articles, after analysis, and also proved that the "male tendency" and "father's father text" strategy used in Eileen Chang's writing are also in his translation. The sixth chapter is the summary of Eileen Chang's use of metaphor as a feminist interference strategy, the classification and the metaphor in its pronouns, the metaphor in adjectives and the concrete exposition of the words with metaphors in place of the original vocabulary. It is the product of the combination of the Western feminist translation theory and the concrete practice, and the most innovative. The last chapter is a summary of the full text, and puts forward the innovation, shortcomings and future research of this paper.
The significance of this study, but also the innovation point lies in 1) the research object of this paper is the famous writer and translator of our country, Eileen Chang, this is the first time to put his unique female writing strategy into her own translation to discuss 2) to promote the textual level of feminist translation theory in China. Although there are many shortcomings in this thesis, But it provides a new direction and perspective for the study of Eileen Chang in China.
