【摘要】: 《黑奴吁天錄》是林紓翻譯的第二本小說(shuō)。因?yàn)榱旨偛粫酝庹Z(yǔ),也從未到過(guò)國(guó)外,所以他非常依賴于他的口譯合作者。作為《湯姆叔叔的小屋》的第一個(gè)中文譯本,譯作中充滿了改寫的痕跡。然而就是這樣一部在傳統(tǒng)翻譯理論中被認(rèn)為是“不忠實(shí)”的譯作卻在當(dāng)時(shí)的中國(guó)受到讀者的熱烈歡迎,并產(chǎn)生了巨大的社會(huì)反響。這是傳統(tǒng)翻譯理論無(wú)法解釋的。 傳統(tǒng)的翻譯研究注重于原文與譯本間的關(guān)系,試圖通過(guò)兩者語(yǔ)言學(xué)層面的比較找尋譯本是否忠于原著。二十世紀(jì)七十年代以來(lái),翻譯研究趨于多樣性,文化轉(zhuǎn)向產(chǎn)生了。當(dāng)今翻譯研究的重心正在向語(yǔ)言外部研究偏移。這說(shuō)明翻譯過(guò)程中不僅要注重語(yǔ)言層面的轉(zhuǎn)換,還要把其他因素,諸如譯入語(yǔ)語(yǔ)境中的文化、歷史、審美價(jià)值觀等考慮在內(nèi)。依據(jù)勒弗維爾的理論,翻譯是一種改寫,受到意識(shí)形態(tài)、贊助人、詩(shī)學(xué)等因素的影響。本文將以翻譯研究派的理論為基礎(chǔ),從文化的視角對(duì)林譯小說(shuō)《黑奴吁天錄》進(jìn)行個(gè)案分析,說(shuō)明了意識(shí)形態(tài),詩(shī)學(xué)和贊助人因素對(duì)翻譯活動(dòng)產(chǎn)生影響。 本文主要包含以下部分: 第一章是簡(jiǎn)介部分?偨Y(jié)了對(duì)此譯本以往的研究情況,并闡明了本論文的研究方法及意義特點(diǎn)。 第二章將回顧《湯姆叔叔的小屋》在中國(guó)的譯介情況。介紹各歷史階段的時(shí)代背景。在本章的最后,將總結(jié)各譯本存在的特點(diǎn),希望借此勾勒出各譯本的貢獻(xiàn)。 從第三章到第五章,將進(jìn)行個(gè)案分析。通過(guò)詳細(xì)的例子分析,從人物,主題,以及視角的角度,以當(dāng)代翻譯理論的視野對(duì)對(duì)林紓的譯作《黑奴吁天錄》中出現(xiàn)的改寫痕跡進(jìn)行文化透視。 第六章是結(jié)論。本章將總結(jié)論文的主要內(nèi)容,提出論文存在的不足,對(duì)今后的研究提出建議。 本文將把林紓的譯作納入歷史的文化的宏觀視野中去進(jìn)行考察,揭示出林紓的翻譯策略的產(chǎn)生不僅僅是一個(gè)技術(shù)性的問(wèn)題,,而是直接指向文化體系內(nèi)外存在的各種關(guān)系。譯作世界和原作世界的矛盾沖突是林紓對(duì)原作進(jìn)行改寫的根本原因。翻譯過(guò)程中意識(shí)形態(tài)、詩(shī)學(xué)和贊助人等因素的制約對(duì)譯作的產(chǎn)生起著決定性作用。
[Abstract]:The annals of Heaven is the second novel translated by Lin Shu because Lin Shu does not know a foreign language and has never been abroad. So he relies heavily on his co-interpreter as the first Chinese translation of Uncle Tom's Cabin. However, such a translation, which is regarded as "unfaithful" in traditional translation theory, was warmly welcomed by readers in China at that time. And has produced huge social repercussions, which can not be explained by traditional translation theory. Traditional translation studies focus on the relationship between the original text and the translation, and try to find out whether the translation is faithful to the original through the comparison of the two linguistic levels. Since 1970s, translation studies have tended to be diversified. Nowadays, the focus of translation studies is shifting to the external study of language. This shows that the translation process should not only pay attention to the transformation of the linguistic level, but also other factors, such as culture in the context of the target language. According to Levell's theory, translation is a kind of rewriting, influenced by ideology, patronage, poetics and so on. From the perspective of culture, this paper makes a case study of Lin's translation of the novel "Negro exhortation", and explains the influence of ideology, poetics and patronage on translation activities. This article consists of the following parts: The first chapter is a brief introduction. It summarizes the previous researches on this translation, and expounds the research methods and meaning characteristics of this thesis. The second chapter will review the translation of Uncle Tom's Cabin in China and introduce the historical background of each stage. At the end of this chapter, we will summarize the characteristics of each translation. I hope to use this to outline the contributions of the various versions. From Chapter 3 to Chapter 5th, case studies will be carried out, with detailed examples, from the perspective of characters, themes, and perspectives. From the perspective of contemporary translation theory, this paper makes a cultural perspective on the rewriting traces in Lin Shu's translation of the Black Slave Book of Heaven. Chapter 6th is the conclusion. This chapter will summarize the main contents of the paper, put forward the shortcomings of the paper, and give some suggestions for future research. This paper will examine Lin Shu's translation from the perspective of historical culture and reveal that the emergence of Lin Shu's translation strategy is not only a technical issue. The contradiction and conflict between the translation world and the original world are the fundamental reasons for Lin Shu's rewriting of the original work, and the ideology in the process of translation. The constraints of poetics and patronage play a decisive role in the translation.
