【摘要】：作為我國第一部詩歌總集，《詩經(jīng)》堪稱中華文化的元典。一直以來，《詩經(jīng)》以其獨(dú)特的歷史文化價(jià)值，文學(xué)藝術(shù)價(jià)值和語言價(jià)值被國內(nèi)外眾多學(xué)者翻譯，譯本眾多。而不同的譯本比較也較多，但從目的論的角度來比較譯本的研究尚不多見。 目的論是德國功能學(xué)派的核心理論。該理論認(rèn)為任何譯本的產(chǎn)生都出于一定的目的；譯者的翻譯目的決定其翻譯過程和翻譯策略。此外，該理論強(qiáng)調(diào)譯本和譯語讀者。根據(jù)目的論，合目的的翻譯就是合適的翻譯，是忠實(shí)的翻譯。許淵沖和理雅各因各自不同的翻譯目的而譯出了不同的譯本，這在某種程度上契合了目的論認(rèn)為的翻譯目的決定翻譯策略的觀點(diǎn)。 因此，本文在前人研究的基礎(chǔ)上，從目的論出發(fā)，運(yùn)用文獻(xiàn)綜述法和定性分析的研究方法對《詩經(jīng)》兩個(gè)權(quán)威譯本——19世紀(jì)70年代理雅各的譯本以及20世紀(jì)90年代許淵沖的譯本進(jìn)行比較分析，目的在于找到兩個(gè)譯者使用的翻譯方法以及他們翻譯方法背后的原因，同時(shí)檢驗(yàn)?zāi)康恼撛谖膶W(xué)翻譯中的適用性。 論文共分七部分。第一章是引言部分，主要介紹了寫作背景、研究問題、研究方法、目的意義和論文的主要結(jié)構(gòu)；第二章文獻(xiàn)綜述部分，對《詩經(jīng)》英譯本和目的論的國內(nèi)外研究進(jìn)行了梳理；第三章是理論框架，重點(diǎn)介紹三個(gè)重要原則以目的論在文學(xué)翻譯中的運(yùn)用；在此框架下，第四、五、六章詳細(xì)分析兩個(gè)譯者如何在三大原則的指導(dǎo)下采用不同翻譯策略和方法實(shí)現(xiàn)各自譯本預(yù)期目的；最后是總結(jié)部分，主要包括研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，局限以及建議。 通過具體的文本分析，本文初步得出以下結(jié)論：在不同的社會和歷史環(huán)境中，，由于翻譯目的的差異以及譯者自身的文化背景限制，譯者會選擇不同的翻譯策略，以達(dá)到預(yù)期的翻譯目的。因此，評價(jià)譯文的優(yōu)劣，不能僅僅以原文作為參考，更應(yīng)考慮其產(chǎn)生的社會背景、發(fā)起人(即翻譯任務(wù)的委托人或機(jī)構(gòu))的目的、譯者的因素以及讀者的反應(yīng)。在目的論理論家看來，合目的的翻譯就是合適的翻譯。
[Abstract]:As China's first poetry collection, Book of Songs is the Chinese culture classics. All the time, Book of Songs with its unique historical and cultural value, artistic value and linguistic value by many scholars at home and abroad. Many different versions of translation, translation is also more, but the research from the angle of theory of purpose comparison of translation is still rare.
Skopos theory is the core theory of German functionalism. The theory holds that any translation have for certain purposes; translation purpose determines the translation process and translation strategies. In addition, this theory emphasizes translation and the target readers. According to skopos theory, the translation purpose is the right translation, faithful translation. Xu Yuanchong and Legge because of their different translation purposes and translation of the different versions, which fit the skopos theory holds that the purpose of translation determines the strategy point of view to some extent.
Therefore, on the basis of previous research, in view of Skopos theory, comparative analysis of research methods by using the method of literature review and qualitative analysis of Book of Songs two authoritative versions of Legge's version, 1870s 1990s Xu Yuanchong version, aims to find two reasons behind his use of translation methods and their translation methods at the same time, test the applicability of Skopos Theory in literary translation.
This paper is divided into seven parts. The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly introduced the background, research questions, research methods, main structure meaning and purpose of the thesis; the second chapter is the literature summary to the domestic and foreign research, Book of Songs translation and objective theories; the third chapter is the theoretical framework, focusing on the three an important principle in applying Skopos Theory in literary translation; under this framework, the fourth, fifth, six chapter two detailed analysis of how the translator under the guidance of three principles adopted different translation strategies and methods to achieve their intended purpose of translation; the summary part, including the findings, limitations and suggestions.
Through specific text analysis, this paper draws the following conclusion: in the different social and historical environment, due to the differences in the purpose of translation and the translator's cultural background, the translator will choose different translation strategies in order to achieve the desired purpose of translation. Therefore, evaluating the quality of translation, not only to the original as a reference. Should consider the social background, the sponsor (client or agency: translation task) the purpose of the translator's factors and the response of the readers. In the purpose of theorist, purposeful translation is suitable for translation.
