隱喻在日常生活中無處不在。但長期以來,隱喻只被看作是一種修辭手段,這個思想可以追溯到亞里士多德時代。他認為,隱喻僅僅是一種用于裝飾目的的修辭手段,是一種只存在于詩歌中的語言現(xiàn)象。他的思想影響了許多人對隱喻的理解,直到1980萊考夫和約翰遜的著名著作《我們賴以生存的隱喻》的出版,徹底改變了人們對隱喻的看法。這本書的出版標志著隱喻研究進入一個新時代。Lakoff和Johnson在書中指出,隱喻不僅是一種常見的語言現(xiàn)象,也是一種思維方式。它是人們用來理解周圍世界的認知工具。根據(jù)萊考夫和約翰遜的說法,概念對我們來說是必要的。它們不僅支配著我們的思想,也支配著我們的日常行為。因此,他們提出了“概念隱喻”理論,即人們通過一個概念來理解另一個概念或思想的現(xiàn)象。通常,新信息或相對抽象的概念域可以通過已知信息或比較具體的概念域來理解。情感是人類經(jīng)驗的一個非常重要的方面。對人類情感的研究是人類認知的重要組成部分。但是,作為一種特殊的心理狀態(tài),情感是如此的抽象和模糊,以至于它們無法靠情感詞匯本身清晰地表達出來。它主要通過隱喻性語言來表達,隱喻在情感的概念化過程中起著非常重要的作用,因此,概念隱喻理論經(jīng)常被用...
