生態(tài)翻譯學視角下的嚴譯《天演論》解讀

【摘要】：自《天演論》發(fā)表至今,國內(nèi)翻譯學界從眾多視角對嚴復的翻譯進行研究,并對其翻譯方法產(chǎn)生了褒貶不一的態(tài)度。本文將以生態(tài)翻譯學為視角,對嚴復譯作《天演論》的翻譯過程、翻譯策略等進行解讀。本文選擇生態(tài)翻譯學視角解讀《天演論》的翻譯,原因有二：1)生態(tài)翻譯學的研究焦點可以為嚴復譯本解讀提供新的切入點；2)進一步論證生態(tài)翻譯學作為一種新的文本解讀視角的適用性和有效性。 作為跨學科研究的產(chǎn)物,生態(tài)翻譯學從生態(tài)學視角對翻譯進行綜觀的整體性研究。以生態(tài)翻譯學的理論視角為解讀基礎,本文描述并闡釋了嚴復在《天演論》翻譯中所運用的非正統(tǒng)的翻譯方法及其“信達雅”的翻譯標準。通過分析,本文得出以下結(jié)論：生態(tài)翻譯學蘊含了哲學上的“和諧”概念并為譯本的解讀與分析提供了新的有效視角；譯者的適應與選擇是其在翻譯過程中必然經(jīng)歷的步驟,也是譯者尋求“和諧”的過程；“譯者中心”概念回答了譯者在翻譯過程中的主體地位問題,同時它也支撐了嚴復的絕對譯者主體性和話語權(quán)。
[Abstract]:Since the publication of "the Theory of Heaven", the domestic translation circles have studied Yan Fu's translation from many angles, and have had different attitudes towards his translation methods. From the perspective of ecological translation, this paper interprets the translation process and translation strategies of Yan Fu's translation of Tian Yan. This paper chooses the perspective of ecological translation to interpret the translation of Tian Yan for the reasons of 2: 1) the research focus of ecological translation can provide a new starting point for the interpretation of Yan Fu's translation. 2) to further demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of ecological translation as a new perspective of text interpretation. As a product of cross-disciplinary studies, ecological translation studies a holistic approach to translation from an ecological perspective. Based on the theoretical perspective of ecological translation, this paper describes and explains the unorthodox translation methods used by Yan Fu in the translation of Tian Yan and the translation criteria of "Cinda elegance". Through the analysis, this paper draws the following conclusions: ecological translation contains the philosophical concept of "harmony" and provides a new and effective perspective for the interpretation and analysis of the translation, and the adaptation and choice of the translator are the necessary steps in the process of translation. The concept of "translator center" not only answers the question of the translator's subject position in the process of translation, but also supports Yan Fu's absolute subjectivity and right of discourse.
