語(yǔ)法隱喻的功能和語(yǔ)體分布特征研究

【摘要】:韓禮德提出的語(yǔ)法隱喻理論一直是語(yǔ)篇分析研究的熱點(diǎn)。本文從功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)角度出發(fā),以英語(yǔ)新聞報(bào)道和學(xué)術(shù)論文為語(yǔ)料,,研究語(yǔ)法隱喻在兩種語(yǔ)體中的功能和分布特征。首先,根據(jù)Swales提出的語(yǔ)體分析模式,對(duì)兩種語(yǔ)體劃分語(yǔ)步結(jié)構(gòu),語(yǔ)步結(jié)構(gòu)的劃分用來(lái)比較和分析兩種語(yǔ)體的語(yǔ)篇結(jié)構(gòu)特征。然后,對(duì)兩種語(yǔ)體中的語(yǔ)法隱喻分布情況進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計(jì)和比較。最后,分析語(yǔ)法隱喻的功能和在實(shí)現(xiàn)兩種語(yǔ)體特征中所發(fā)揮的作用。 本文采用定性、定量相結(jié)合的研究方法,建立了兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù),即英語(yǔ)新聞報(bào)道和學(xué)術(shù)論文語(yǔ)料庫(kù)。利用Wordsmith軟件中的語(yǔ)境共現(xiàn)檢索工具得出兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中語(yǔ)法隱喻的分布情況。作者對(duì)新聞報(bào)道中語(yǔ)步一:介紹主題部分,語(yǔ)步二:正文展開(kāi)部分,以及學(xué)術(shù)論文中相對(duì)應(yīng)的語(yǔ)步一:介紹部分,語(yǔ)步二:正文部分這兩個(gè)相對(duì)應(yīng)語(yǔ)步中語(yǔ)法隱喻分布情況進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析。兩個(gè)相對(duì)應(yīng)語(yǔ)步中語(yǔ)法隱喻分布情況一致,如下所示:1.學(xué)術(shù)論文中概念語(yǔ)法隱喻的數(shù)量多于新聞報(bào)道。這是由于學(xué)術(shù)論文比新聞報(bào)道更客觀,嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)和簡(jiǎn)練的語(yǔ)體特征所致。名詞化減少小句數(shù)量,增加了學(xué)術(shù)論文的權(quán)威性。同時(shí)名詞化使得短句中的信息容量增大,語(yǔ)言密度增加,而且使得句法結(jié)構(gòu)簡(jiǎn)化,符合學(xué)術(shù)論文簡(jiǎn)練的行文特征。2.新聞報(bào)道中人際語(yǔ)法隱喻的數(shù)量多于學(xué)術(shù)論文,新聞報(bào)道中大量使用情態(tài)系統(tǒng)使個(gè)人觀點(diǎn)被掩飾,體現(xiàn)新聞報(bào)道的客觀性。3.新聞報(bào)道中的語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)法隱喻的數(shù)量多于學(xué)術(shù)論文,因?yàn)檎Z(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)法隱喻中的銜接結(jié)構(gòu)使新聞報(bào)道更具連貫性和條理性。新聞報(bào)道的主要功能是把有價(jià)值的事件以最快的速度報(bào)導(dǎo)出來(lái)。新聞報(bào)道必須用盡可能小的篇幅提供盡可能大的信息量。 本文探索了語(yǔ)法隱喻是如何在建構(gòu)新聞報(bào)道和學(xué)術(shù)論文語(yǔ)篇中起作用的。研究結(jié)果為英語(yǔ)新聞報(bào)道和學(xué)術(shù)論文文體寫(xiě)作教學(xué)和學(xué)習(xí)提供了有價(jià)值的參考依據(jù)。
[Abstract]:Halliday's grammatical metaphor theory has always been a hot topic in discourse analysis.From the perspective of functional linguistics, this paper studies the function and distribution of grammatical metaphor in English news reports and academic papers.First of all, according to the stylistic analysis model proposed by Swales, the two styles are divided into step structures, which are used to compare and analyze the textual structure characteristics of the two styles.Then, the distribution of grammatical metaphors in the two styles is analyzed and compared.Finally, the function of grammatical metaphor and its role in the realization of the two stylistic features are analyzed.In this paper, two corpora, English news reports and academic papers, are established by using qualitative and quantitative methods.The distribution of grammatical metaphors in the two corpora is obtained by using the contextual co-occurrence retrieval tool in Wordsmith software.The author introduces the main topic part, the main body part and the corresponding language step one: introduction part of the academic paper.Step 2: the distribution of grammatical metaphors in the two corresponding parts of the text is analyzed contrastively.The distribution of grammatical metaphors in the two corresponding steps is the same, as follows: 1.There are more conceptual grammatical metaphors in academic papers than in news reports.This is due to the more objective, rigorous and concise stylistic features of academic papers than news reports.Nominalization reduces the number of clauses and increases the authority of academic papers.At the same time, nominalization increases the information capacity and language density in short sentences, and simplifies the syntactic structure.The number of interpersonal grammatical metaphors in news reports is more than that in academic papers.The number of grammatical metaphors in news reports is more than that in academic papers because the cohesive structures in discourse grammatical metaphors make news reports more coherent and coherent.The main function of news reports is to report valuable events as quickly as possible.News reports must be as small as possible to provide as much information as possible.This paper explores how grammatical metaphor plays a role in the construction of news reports and academic discourse.The results provide a valuable reference for the teaching and learning of English news reports and academic papers.
