【摘要】:自Martin的Beyond Exchange:Appraisal Systems in English發(fā)表以來,評價理論在國內(nèi)外受到眾多關(guān)注,也得到了不斷的發(fā)展和完善。該理論是系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)對人際意義研究的一個新發(fā)展方向,包括三大主系統(tǒng):態(tài)度、介入和級差。該理論關(guān)注的是運用語言表達態(tài)度的資源。 隨著世界經(jīng)濟全球化的發(fā)展,各國之間的聯(lián)系越來越緊密,災(zāi)難對人類生活的影響也越來越大,因此人們對災(zāi)難性新聞報道的關(guān)注度也越來越高。災(zāi)難性新聞報道的傳播不僅可以使讀者了解災(zāi)難本身,同時也能夠引導(dǎo)大眾對災(zāi)難的認識,鼓勵或挫敗人們對待災(zāi)難的心態(tài)。因此,災(zāi)難性新聞報道是值得研究者關(guān)注和研究的。本文分別選取China Daily和UAS Today報紙中的各15篇災(zāi)難性新聞報道在評價理論框架下分析災(zāi)難性新聞?wù)Z言特點,并利用語言學(xué)軟件UAM CorpusTool對比中美報紙在評價資源運用的異同,探討表達人際意義的方法。 本文在評價理論的框架下對中國和美國的災(zāi)難性新聞進行對比分析,得出以下結(jié)論:首先,在整個評價系統(tǒng)中,中國和美國的災(zāi)難性新聞報道都使用最多的是態(tài)度資源,其次是級差資源,最少的是介入資源。在這兩組新聞中,三項評價性資源在運用比例中沒有顯著差異。在態(tài)度系統(tǒng)之內(nèi),情感性資源較多地出現(xiàn)在中國新聞報道,而鑒賞性資源被跟多地運用在美國新聞中。其次,在介入資源的整體使用上,兩組語篇差異不大。但中國新聞在報道災(zāi)難事件時對介入系統(tǒng)下的擴展資源的使用要高于美國新聞,而且在擴展資源下,歸屬類資源也更多地出現(xiàn)在中國的新聞報道中。最后,在級差系統(tǒng)之內(nèi),判斷性資源在中美災(zāi)難性新聞報道中大都屬于語勢而非聚焦。 通過對比分析中美災(zāi)難性新聞報道中評價資源的使用,文章在評價理論呢框架下研究新聞報道,希望能為以后有關(guān)評價系統(tǒng)的應(yīng)用和新聞?wù)Z言的探索研究提供一些參考。由于該理論本身存在復(fù)雜性和一些主觀因素,加之本文作者個人能力的局限,這方面的研究還需要不斷發(fā)展和完善。
[Abstract]:Since the publication of Martin's Beyond Exchange:Appraisal Systems in English, the theory of evaluation has attracted much attention both at home and abroad, and has also been continuously developed and perfected. It is a new direction in the study of interpersonal meaning in systemic functional linguistics. It consists of three main systems: attitude, intervention and differential. This theory focuses on the resources of using language to express attitude. With the development of the globalization of the world economy, the relationship between countries is getting closer and closer, and the impact of disasters on human life is becoming more and more serious. As a result, people pay more and more attention to catastrophic news reports. The spread of catastrophic news reports not only enables readers to understand the disaster itself, but also leads the public to understand the disaster. Encourage or thwart people's attitude toward disaster. Catastrophic news reports are worthy of researchers' attention and research. In this paper, 15 China Daily and 15 UAS Today news reports are selected to analyze the linguistic characteristics of catastrophic news under the framework of evaluation theory. Using the linguistic software UAM CorpusTool to compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and American newspapers in evaluating the use of resources, this paper probes into the methods of expressing interpersonal meaning. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the disastrous news in China and the United States under the framework of evaluation theory, and draws the following conclusions: first of all, in the whole evaluation system, attitude resources are the most frequently used in the disastrous news reports in China and the United States. In the two groups of news, there is no significant difference in the proportion of the use of the three evaluative resources. Within the attitude system, affective resources appear more frequently in Chinese news reports. And appreciation resources are used more and more in American news. Secondly, in terms of the overall use of interventional resources, There is no significant difference between the two groups of discourses. However, the use of the expanded resources under the intervention system in China news reports is higher than that in the US news system, and under the extended resources, the category resources also appear more frequently in the news reports in China. Within the differential system, the critical resources in the catastrophic news reports in China and the United States mostly belong to the language rather than focus. By comparing and analyzing the use of evaluation resources in catastrophic news reports between China and the United States, the article studies news reports under the framework of evaluation theory. The author hopes to provide some reference for the application of evaluation system and the research of news language in the future. Due to the complexity and subjective factors of the theory itself and the limitations of the author's personal ability, The research in this area still needs to be developed and perfected continuously.
