【摘要】：關(guān)于語言與思維的關(guān)系,學(xué)界一直爭論不休。2016年,加拿大導(dǎo)演丹尼斯·維倫紐瓦執(zhí)導(dǎo)的科幻巨制《降臨》改編自星云獎獲得者特德·姜的小說《你一生的故事》,在科幻主題下重述了語言在人類思維形成中的奠定性作用。全片以語言學(xué)家薩丕爾-沃爾夫假說為理論基石,講述了外星生物七肢桶所持環(huán)形符號的語言賦予了片中語言學(xué)家環(huán)形的時間視覺能力,過去、現(xiàn)在與未來的現(xiàn)實構(gòu)成一種首尾相接環(huán)狀關(guān)系。這實際是在科幻外衣下再次表征了語言在去除語音之后,文字能指與思維的關(guān)系密切的關(guān)系。
