本文是基于筆者自選翻譯項(xiàng)目《長樂路—“小小上海街,都市大夢想”》前三章內(nèi)容進(jìn)行英譯漢翻譯活動及翻譯報(bào)告。Street of Eternal Happiness:Big City Dreams Along A Shanghai Road一書是由美國一位廣播媒體界的駐華記者Rob Schmitz所著,于2016年5月17日在北美出版,目前沒有譯本。該書主要講述了作者所居住的長樂路上的人和事,體現(xiàn)了本地人和外地人在上海追逐都市之夢的真實(shí)生活,其中不乏酸甜苦辣。本書是研究中國社會階層、市井生活和民眾習(xí)俗的重要材料。同時(shí)本書展現(xiàn)了老外眼中中國人的都市生活現(xiàn)狀,其中從歷史、政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)和文化習(xí)俗方面都有所涉及,并為從事跨文化研究領(lǐng)域的外國學(xué)者提供借鑒。本書屬于紀(jì)實(shí)類報(bào)告文學(xué),難度中等。筆者歷時(shí)三個(gè)月完成了本書前三章的翻譯實(shí)踐,共計(jì)一萬五千字的初譯,后用一個(gè)多月的時(shí)間完成校對和翻譯報(bào)告。本翻譯研究報(bào)告包括四個(gè)部分:第一個(gè)部分是引言,主要包括對原文的背景信息、翻譯報(bào)告的目標(biāo)、翻譯報(bào)告的意義和翻譯報(bào)告的組織進(jìn)行概括總結(jié);第二個(gè)部分是譯前準(zhǔn)備,主要介紹了作者對文本的分析、專業(yè)術(shù)語的整理、使用的翻譯工具和改譯...
