語言是隨著人類社會的發(fā)展而發(fā)展的,一些舊詞的過時意味著一些新詞的產(chǎn)生,而新詞的產(chǎn)生還遵循一定的規(guī)律—構(gòu)詞法,因此構(gòu)詞法在一定程度上推動著英語歷史的發(fā)展,并起著重要的作用,這也是本翻譯實(shí)踐報告的意義所在。本報告基于《劍橋英語史》第三卷第五章第五節(jié)的翻譯實(shí)踐�！秳蛴⒄Z史》共有六卷,筆者選取的第三卷主要介紹了早期現(xiàn)代英語（約1450年1700年）和現(xiàn)代英語（約1700年至1900年）的發(fā)展歷史,其時間覆蓋了從1476年至美國發(fā)表獨(dú)立宣言的1776年,其中筆者所翻譯的第五章第五節(jié)內(nèi)容屬于英語史中的詞匯部分,主要針對詞匯的構(gòu)詞法。本次翻譯任務(wù)屬于學(xué)術(shù)性文章,語言嚴(yán)謹(jǐn),具有很強(qiáng)的專業(yè)性,原文中包含很多詞匯學(xué)上的語言學(xué)術(shù)語和專有詞匯。為了用通順、流暢的語言準(zhǔn)確傳達(dá)原文信息,使譯文讀者對早期現(xiàn)代英語詞匯的構(gòu)詞法有全面、準(zhǔn)確的了解,筆者在翻譯前閱讀了大量詞匯學(xué)和英語史方面的書,掌握了大量構(gòu)詞法方面的知識,然后以彼得·紐馬克的語義翻譯與交際翻譯理論為指導(dǎo),再結(jié)合一些英漢翻譯方法包括省譯、照應(yīng)等,開展此次翻譯實(shí)踐。筆者在翻譯中適當(dāng)補(bǔ)充了一些相關(guān)學(xué)術(shù)性知識以幫助讀者更好的理解,希望本實(shí)踐報告,既可供相關(guān)領(lǐng)域...
