英國(guó)劇作家哈羅德·品特于2005年獲得了諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)。品特著有29部戲劇、6部電視劇本和3部電影劇本,其獨(dú)特的“品特式”戲劇表現(xiàn)手法,使得他成為文學(xué)界最偉大的作家之一。本次翻譯實(shí)踐基于品特戲劇《慶祝會(huì)》的漢譯完成�！稇c祝會(huì)》中的場(chǎng)景是英國(guó)倫敦一家高級(jí)奢華的餐廳,主角是三對(duì)夫妻,他們以語(yǔ)言為武器,相互貶低和諷刺,每個(gè)人想要通過(guò)言語(yǔ)之間的“斗爭(zhēng)”來(lái)維持表面上流社會(huì)的虛偽形象。戲劇化的劇情加上品特寫作手法,使得劇情充滿荒誕性、不確定性和威脅性,常常令人陷入恐懼和沉思,是具有典型品特戲劇特征的劇本。英國(guó)著名語(yǔ)言學(xué)家杰弗里·利奇（Geoffrey Leech）在其著作《語(yǔ)義學(xué)》（Semantics）中,將語(yǔ)義細(xì)分成七種類型,是一種相對(duì)完整的語(yǔ)義分類體系。品特戲劇有其獨(dú)特的語(yǔ)言特點(diǎn),著重分析語(yǔ)義可使翻譯回歸到根本目的,即在保留原作風(fēng)味的條件下,將原作內(nèi)容忠實(shí)地傳達(dá)給受眾。因而,本文著重介紹了如何利用利奇的語(yǔ)義分類法作為指導(dǎo)原則,對(duì)品特戲劇《慶祝會(huì)》進(jìn)行翻譯實(shí)踐,并獲取相應(yīng)的翻譯經(jīng)驗(yàn)。本文以語(yǔ)義學(xué)為翻譯指導(dǎo)理論,是品特戲劇翻譯研究的首次嘗試,是語(yǔ)義學(xué)與翻譯學(xué)之間跨學(xué)科的新研究。通過(guò)研究,筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)語(yǔ)義...
