《唐璜》朱維基譯本厚譯研究

  詩人拜倫(George Gordon Byron,1788-1824)代表作《唐璜》(Don Juan)已有200年歷史。其漢譯研究主要以查良錚譯本(1980)為主,因其富有文學(xué)性,貼合中文讀者審美需求倍受學(xué)界關(guān)注。相反,近現(xiàn)代詩人、譯者朱維基(1904-1971)所譯首部《唐璜》全譯本(1956)卻遭到忽視,鮮有研究。事實(shí)上,《唐璜》早在孤島時(shí)期(1937-1941)就吸引由蔣錫金、朱維基等學(xué)者主持的詩歌書店的注意,被納為翻譯對(duì)象。譯作帶有強(qiáng)烈的歷史時(shí)代烙印,翻譯背景特殊。且譯本大量的腳注及文內(nèi)增添體現(xiàn)譯作的現(xiàn)實(shí)性特征,突顯作者的創(chuàng)作意圖,展現(xiàn)譯者的翻譯目的。本研究以《唐璜》朱譯本中的“厚譯”為研究對(duì)象,運(yùn)用文獻(xiàn)研究法,對(duì)其分類及功能進(jìn)行考察。本研究基于美國哲學(xué)家、文化學(xué)者奎邁·安東尼·阿皮亞(Kwame Anthony Appiah,1951-)提出的“厚譯”概念并將其延伸,根據(jù)《唐璜》朱譯本中“厚譯”的位置,將其分為兩類:(1)文外“厚譯”,指腳注;(2)文內(nèi)“厚譯”,指文內(nèi)增添。通過分析發(fā)現(xiàn),《唐璜》朱譯本中“厚譯”現(xiàn)象實(shí)現(xiàn)了三重功能:一、“厚譯”突顯拜倫創(chuàng)作意圖,突顯拜倫蘇格...
