近代中國政教關(guān)系的變與不變——評(píng)《救贖與自救:中華基督教會(huì)邊疆服務(wù)研究》

【摘要】:正基督宗教來華,自唐至清,幾番進(jìn)出,真正立穩(wěn)根基并對(duì)中國社會(huì)產(chǎn)生深遠(yuǎn)影響則始于晚清。此番福音東傳,用蔣夢(mèng)麟的話說是"騎著炮彈來的"。耶穌"騎炮彈"的比喻雖未盡妥貼,卻生動(dòng)地道出了基督教對(duì)于中國所具有的"異質(zhì)"、"強(qiáng)勢"特征。與明火執(zhí)仗的暴力征服相較,基督教(新教,下同)通過引介西學(xué)、移植現(xiàn)代技術(shù)以及弘揚(yáng)行善濟(jì)世的博愛理念促成中國社會(huì)近
[Abstract]:The Christian religion came to China from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, several times in and out, which really established the foundation and had a profound influence on the Chinese society, which began in the late Qing Dynasty. The gospel preached to the east, in Jiang Menglin's words, "riding a shell to come." Although Jesus'parable of "riding cannonball" is incomplete, it vividly describes the "heterogeneity" and "strength" of Christianity for China. In contrast to the fiery conquest of violence, Christianity (Protestantism, below) promotes Chinese society by introducing Western learning, transplanting modern technology, and promoting the idea of fraternity in doing good and helping the world.
