【摘要】：1961年,施特勞斯在《相對主義》中批判伯林的多元主義既是相對主義,又是絕對主義。然而,伯林卻認為施特勞斯完全誤解了他的觀點。在最新發(fā)現(xiàn)的《伯林致雅法書信》中,伯林明確表示,多元主義主張的不是絕對主義,而是普遍主義。絕對主義與普遍主義有四大區(qū)別:第一,絕對價值對所有時間所有地點的所有人都始終有效,而普遍價值只是對大多數(shù)時間大多數(shù)地點的大多數(shù)人有效;第二,絕對主義的理論基礎是理性主義,而普遍主義的理論基礎是經(jīng)驗主義;第三,絕對主義的理論預設是不變的人性觀,而普遍主義的理論預設是共通的人性觀;第四,絕對主義主張絕對價值之間可以互相兼容,而普遍主義則認為普遍價值之間有時互不兼容。
[Abstract]:In 1961, Strauss criticized Berlin's pluralism in relativism as both relativism and absolutism. Berlin, however, thinks Strauss completely misunderstands his point of view. In the newly discovered Berlin Epistle to Yafa, Berlin made it clear that pluralism advocates not absolutism, but universalism. There are four major differences between absolutism and universalism: first, absolute values are always valid for all people at all times, everywhere, while universal values are valid only for the majority of people most of the time and most places; and second, The theoretical basis of absolutism is rationalism, while the theoretical basis of universalism is empiricism; third, the theoretical presupposition of absolutism is an invariable view of human nature, while the theoretical presupposition of universalism is a common view of human nature; fourth, Absolutism advocates that absolute values can be compatible with each other, while universalism holds that universal values are sometimes incompatible.
