【摘要】：在20世紀(jì)90年代的大部分時(shí)間里,多元文化主義的研究主要是規(guī)范性(normative)研究,其主導(dǎo)者是一些政治哲學(xué)方面的學(xué)者,他們提出了一種明確的有關(guān)多元文化公民的自由-民主形式的理想學(xué)說(shuō)。這個(gè)自由多元文化主義的假說(shuō)(認(rèn)為多元文化主義政策并不妨礙核心的自由民主價(jià)值觀)一直影響很大,它不僅在(政治)哲學(xué)領(lǐng)域,而且在更廣泛的學(xué)術(shù)界,事實(shí)上也在公眾生活領(lǐng)域,為多元文化主義的爭(zhēng)論定了基調(diào)。然而,許多社會(huì)科學(xué)學(xué)者質(zhì)疑,多元文化主義在現(xiàn)實(shí)世界中是否良善有益。本文考察了已有的證據(jù),從加拿大和跨國(guó)層面,實(shí)證性地檢視了自由多元文化主義的假說(shuō)。關(guān)于自由民主多元文化主義的前景和多元文化政策對(duì)自由民主價(jià)值觀的影響,這些證據(jù)能告訴我們什么呢?
[Abstract]:For most of the 1990s, the study of multiculturalism was dominated by scholars in the field of political philosophy.They put forward a clear ideal doctrine of liberal-democratic forms for multicultural citizens.This hypothesis of liberal multiculturalism (that the policy of multiculturalism does not interfere with the core values of liberal democracy) has always been influential, not only in the field of philosophy, but also in the wider academic world.Indeed, in the field of public life, the debate over multiculturalism has set the tone.However, many social scientists question whether multiculturalism is good in the real world.This paper examines the existing evidence and empirically examines the hypothesis of liberal multiculturalism from the Canadian and transnational perspectives.What does this evidence tell us about the prospects of liberal democratic multiculturalism and the impact of multicultural policies on liberal democratic values?
