【摘要】： 劉瑞芬(1827—1892),字芝田,安徽省貴池縣人,附生。歷任署兩淮鹽運(yùn)使、蘇松太道、江西按察使、布政使及護(hù)理江西巡撫、駐英等國(guó)公使、廣東巡撫等。劉瑞芬生活的道咸同光時(shí)期,正處于中國(guó)內(nèi)憂外患變局動(dòng)蕩,國(guó)家與社會(huì)由傳統(tǒng)向近代逐步轉(zhuǎn)型的特殊時(shí)期。他由附生而棄科舉,走向經(jīng)世之路,隨李鴻章淮軍起家入仕,登上政治舞臺(tái),盡職盡責(zé),不僅辦理地方政績(jī)突出,在擔(dān)任駐外公使期間,能積極考察西方文明,在外交上勇于維護(hù)中國(guó)主權(quán),并致力促進(jìn)國(guó)內(nèi)洋務(wù)運(yùn)動(dòng),協(xié)助創(chuàng)辦新式企業(yè),建設(shè)近代海軍等,致力于國(guó)家求富求強(qiáng),公忠體國(guó),鞠躬盡瘁。本文結(jié)合時(shí)代背景,力求全面、系統(tǒng)地研究劉瑞芬一生的主要活動(dòng)與思想變化,客觀地評(píng)價(jià)其歷史地位。
[Abstract]:Liu Ruifen Li 1827-1892, the word Zhi Tian, Guichi County, Anhui Province, epiphany. Served as agents of the two Huai salt transport, Su Songtai, Jiangxi press envoy, envoy and care of Jiangxi governor, minister to Britain and other countries, Guangdong governor, and so on. Liu Ruifen lived in the period of Daoxian Tongguang, which was in a special period of transition from tradition to modern times. He abandoned the imperial examination from an epiphany to the road of running the world. He began his official career with the Li Hongzhang, stepped onto the political stage, performed his duties with due diligence, not only handled outstanding local achievements, but also was able to actively investigate Western civilization during his stay as a foreign minister. He dares to defend China's sovereignty in diplomacy, and is committed to promoting the Westernization Movement in China, helping to establish new enterprises and building modern naval forces, and devoting himself to the country's pursuit of wealth and strength, public loyalty and devotion to the country. Based on the background of the times, this paper tries to study the main activities and ideological changes of Liu Ruifen's life in an all-round and systematic way, and evaluate his historical position objectively.
