電報的引入與近代中國文化變遷

【摘要】:晚清以降,以電報學為代表的西方近代自然科學大量傳入,使得中國傳統(tǒng)的知識體系裂變,七科之學漸次成型。一系列電報學堂的設立,以其現(xiàn)代的教學內容和教學方法,對中國傳統(tǒng)的教育體系與教學模式產(chǎn)生沖擊,專業(yè)技術教育日漸隆盛。電報引入后,引發(fā)中國語言與文學的變化,文本體裁中衍生電訊等新文體,并日益成為新聞傳播之重要工具。在更深層面,國人的思想因之而逐步改變,科技意識、世界意識漸在人們的觀念之中滋生并擴散開來。這一切大致反映出近代中國的文化變遷以及現(xiàn)代文化之成長。然需看到,即便電報知識傳入中國已近半個世紀甚至更長時間,伐桿救旱事件之頻發(fā),煉魂成電謠言之流播等,又提示中國傳統(tǒng)的風水、符讖等術數(shù)思想以及魂魄、鬼祟等宗教觀念因具廣闊影響,使得現(xiàn)代文化在中國成長之進程只能緩慢而長期,無法一蹴而就。
[Abstract]:In the late Qing Dynasty, the western modern natural science represented by telegraphy introduced a large number of natural sciences, which made the traditional knowledge system of China fission, and the study of the seven branches of science gradually formed. With its modern teaching contents and teaching methods, the establishment of a series of Telegraph schools has impacted on the traditional education system and teaching mode of China, and the professional and technical education is flourishing day by day. After the introduction of telegram, it caused the changes of Chinese language and literature, the text genre derived from telecommunications and other new styles, and increasingly become an important tool of news dissemination. At a deeper level, Chinese people's thoughts gradually change, science and technology consciousness, world consciousness gradually breed and spread in people's ideas. All this roughly reflects the cultural changes and the growth of modern culture in modern China. But we need to see that even though telegram knowledge has been introduced to China for nearly half a century or more, the frequent occurrence of logging and drought rescue incidents, and the spreading of rumors that the soul has been lost to electricity, and so on, also suggest that the traditional Chinese ideas of geomantic water, symbolic prophecies, etc., as well as the soul of the soul, Because of its wide influence, modern culture can only grow slowly and for a long time.
