【摘要】：歷史鄉(xiāng)村地理是研究歷史時期鄉(xiāng)村地區(qū)的經(jīng)濟、社會、人口、聚落、文化、資源利用及環(huán)境問題的空間變化的學科,是歷史人文地理學的分支學科之一,其研究目的是總結(jié)歷史時期鄉(xiāng)村地域系統(tǒng)內(nèi)部諸要素之間及與外部地域系統(tǒng)之間的相互關(guān)系和作用規(guī)律,為現(xiàn)實鄉(xiāng)村建設(shè)和和諧發(fā)展服務(wù)。歷史鄉(xiāng)村地理學既不是一般的部門歷史地理學,也不是一般的區(qū)域歷史地理學,而是一門區(qū)域性和綜合性很強的歷史人文地理學分支。無論從鄉(xiāng)村在我國歷史發(fā)展過程中的重要地位來說,還是從當前推進社會主義新農(nóng)村建設(shè)的需要和歷史地理學科的整體建設(shè)需要來說,歷史鄉(xiāng)村地理的研究都必不可少,大有作為。
