[Abstract]:Since 1990s, the so-called "New Cultural Geography" has emerged in the English-oriented geography academia. Focusing on cultural politics or cultural warfare based on social differences. Gramsci's hegemonic theory has made an important contribution to the analysis of cultural politics. Gramsci believes that hegemony is a concept of power balance, This balance involves armed repression and consensus... That is, hegemony cannot come solely from the reign of terror and the use of force to suppress the masses, especially oppressed groups, It also depends on the recognition of the governed and the support from the bottom of his heart. Gramsci stresses the importance of the place and explores how the different types of lifestyles in cities and villages, as well as the design and layout of the built environment, shape consensus, popular culture, As well as daily life. Gramsci's theory can reveal the rapid social and spatial transformation of China in the past three decades. Put this transition on a broader scale of time and space to think, humanities geography may make a unique contribution to knowledge.
