文章摘要：以中國(guó)的《地理學(xué)報(bào)》中、英文版和美國(guó)的AAAG（Annals of the Association ofAmerican Geographers，美國(guó)地理學(xué)家協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)刊）、英國(guó)的TIBG（Transactions of the Institute ofBritish Geographers，英國(guó)皇家地理學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)刊）作為中西方主流地理期刊的代表案例，以各刊網(wǎng)站的資料和文獻(xiàn)作為數(shù)據(jù)源，對(duì)比各刊的辦刊背景、發(fā)展歷史，重點(diǎn)從辦刊宗旨、報(bào)道內(nèi)容、國(guó)際化程度、辦刊特色、用稿要求等幾個(gè)方面來對(duì)比分析中西方主流地理期刊的辦刊實(shí)踐，結(jié)果顯示：1）辦刊宗旨上，AAAG和TIBG將重點(diǎn)落實(shí)在學(xué)科建設(shè)服務(wù)上，明確宣稱其國(guó)際權(quán)威的高端定位，強(qiáng)調(diào)刊文對(duì)學(xué)科知識(shí)性的貢獻(xiàn)，即對(duì)創(chuàng)新性有特別具體和明確的要求；《地理學(xué)報(bào)》中、英文版除了服務(wù)于學(xué)科建設(shè)外，明確提出為國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)服務(wù)的宗旨。2）學(xué)科內(nèi)容上，，AAAGⅡ刊前20年偏重自然地理，之后人文地理刊文一直處于優(yōu)勢(shì)地位；環(huán)境科學(xué)和方法研究近年來受到重視，基礎(chǔ)研究不斷深入；《地理學(xué)報(bào)》自然和人文地理的刊文總體上趨于合理和平衡，其英文版偏重自然地理學(xué)、自然與人文相結(jié)合的綜合性研究。3）國(guó)際化程度方面，被研究期刊的作者群均以本國(guó)作者為主，國(guó)際作者群體以來自美國(guó)、英國(guó)、加拿大等國(guó)家的作者占優(yōu)勢(shì)，其中，AAAG作者的國(guó)際化程度最高。4）辦刊特色方面，《地理學(xué)報(bào)》中、英文版注重實(shí)證研究類刊文；AAAG主要體現(xiàn)在其�？╯pecial issue）及主席演講等方面，TIBG主要體現(xiàn)在虛擬期刊（virtual issue）及對(duì)刊文質(zhì)量的貢獻(xiàn)要求等方面。

Abstr：Taking Acta Geographiea Sinica （AGS）, Journal of Geographical Sciences （JGS）,Annals of the Association of American Geographers （AAAG） and Transactions of the Instituteof British Geographers （TIBG） as typical representatives of mainstream journals in China andwestern countries, according to the information from the respective official websites anddocuments, and with the background and development history of each journal, the author ofthis paper makes a comparative analysis on the aims of the journals, report content,internationalization degree, characteristics and their requirement for the articles. The resultsshow that： 1） In terms of the arms of publication, AAAG and TIBG focus on their disciplineconstruction, express definitely their high orientation of international authority, and emphasizecontribution of publication to the discipline knowledge, i.e. they have specific and definiterequirements for innovativeness, while AGS and JGS, in addition to serving the disciplineconstruction, put forward their objective to serve national economic construction, andemphasize the high level and originality of publication. 2） On the report content, AAAG laidstress on physical geography for its publication in the first two decades, but humangeography has been in a dominant position in the following period; attention is also paid toenvironment science and geographical methodology in recent years; and basic theory studyfor geography is deepening, but the publication tendency of weakening physical geographybecomes a problem faced by the comprehensive geography journals. For the publication ofAGS, the ratio of physical geography and human geography is reasonably balanced. JGS paysattention to physical geography and comprehensive research involving ph
