C2H2鋅指蛋白LRG1調(diào)控水稻小穗的發(fā)育(英文)

水稻小穗是一種獨特的花序結(jié)構(gòu),其發(fā)育直接決定種子的大小和產(chǎn)量.一個正常的水稻小穗包含一個可育小花(1個外稃、1個內(nèi)稃、2個漿片、6個雄蕊和1個雌蕊)、一對護穎及一對副護穎.通過EMS誘變,本研究分離得到了一個新的隱性水稻小穗突變體lacking rudimentary glume 1(lrg1). lrg1的小穗僅僅只有一個副護穎,且其與護穎一起被同源轉(zhuǎn)化為外稃狀器官.細胞學(xué)和分子生物學(xué)研究發(fā)現(xiàn), LRG1基因在水稻小穗副護穎中顯著表達,證明了LRG1是副護穎的特征基因.此外, lrg1突變體谷粒表型異常是由穎殼細胞數(shù)目和大小決定的,說明LRG1還參與調(diào)控谷粒大小.進一步的實驗發(fā)現(xiàn), LRG1基因編碼的ZOS4-06-C2H2鋅指結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)錄因子可能是與TPRs蛋白相互作用來抑制下游基因表達.本研究一方面證實了副護穎、護穎和外稃是同源器官,另一方面LRG1基因參與調(diào)控種子大小,為分子設(shè)計育種提供了新的基因資源.
